I’m also avoiding homework. But, babies are wonderful. I want another one 🙂

Their smiles make you forget about the poop.

I am the opposite.  I love babies, but kids, they are annoying.

I’m not a baby person. I have a child and it was different because he was my own. I don’t get excited about other babies and don’t enjoy holding them unless they were my best friend’s child or someone really close.

One of my classmates is constantly taking videos of her baby neice and some of the girls crowd around her to watch the videos. I’m sure the videos are cute, but I just have zero interest in watching them.

Some of my FB friends have babies and I’ll comment on how cute they are in their pictures. I truly do think they are cute and precious, but I don’t have the urge to hold them and kiss them like some other ladies do.

Depends on the baby. Mine will be awesome, of course, haha. But since we’re being honest here… I have three nephews. Two are awesome and adorable and I can’t get enough, even when they are upset or whiny. But one I’m just kinda like…eh. I don’t really get anything out of spending time with him. I never let it show, but some people just raise annoying babies/toddlers/kids. Tends to happen when you use a special voice with them constantly and encourage baby talk, and also when they never hear the word ‘no’.

Babies are needy and annoying and poop a lot and make you tired. But i love them after about 2 years old. I had four kids LOL..and everytime couldn’t wait till 2 years old…:)

I like children from 2-4 and then it doesn’t get better again until they’re about 18 and anything is up for grabs, depending on how they “turn out.” I really just don’t see the appeal of babies and can’t stand those awkward in-between ages.

I do love, though, the relationship between parents and children when they get older. Everyone in my family is over 21 so going out is so much more fun! I just don’t know if I want to give my life to everything that comes before that.

@Wonderstruck:

Studies actually show that using baby-talk lowers the growth rate of a child’s literacy and language skills. If I ever have children, I want to try to speak to them in more complex terms than is usually deemed “appropriate” for their age. But we all know how hard it is not to fall into the baby-talk trap!

@amoret11: It sounds like your problem is not babies, but parents! Babies are great, even when you take them to a restaurant… so long as the parents look after them properly, and are prepared to leave with them if they get noisy.

With my kids I think some of the best times were when they were 1, just learning to respond and talk. I agree the first year is tough because you don’t see a lot of appreciation, but they are just so adorable!

I don’t like babies. They don’t become people until they are 3 or 4 years old. Then I like them, because I like people. But babies are pretty lame. I’m sure I’ll feel differently about MY OWN baby though. I also think dogs are lame but I like my dog.

They’re people alright.
