Honestly, I hate dieting. I hate feeling hungry all the time. I hate counting my calories. I hate not eating carbs and chocolate and sugar and alcohol.
I am 5’9 and 150 lbs so I am by no means overweight. I was extremely thin when I started college 5’9 and 120 lbs so I have gained a lot of weight in the past 4 years but that DOES NOT make me fat.
So I’m going to continue to go to the gym and try to be healthier. I will continue to eat salads and fruits and try to eat less processed foods but I AM going to eat carbs and sugar and chocolate and have a glass of wine a few times a week. My new goal is simply to be healthy and not to reach a certain number on a scale. I have decided to love myself for who I am and ignore little comments from my mother about my love handles.
So I want to say to all the other bees out there who are trying to lose weight for their weddings, not everyone needs to lose weight. And even if you do need to lose weight, always remember that your FI/DH/SO loves you just the way you are.

I HATE dieting too. Hate it. I am trying to eat less carbs, which is my biggest weakness. I love pasta and garlic bread. I still have a glass of wine or two – that will never change.

Lol I love that comic above. 😀 I’ve started doing Weight Watchers as of yesterday. I’m down 1 pound already. It’s been super simple to follow. I can eat whatever I want as long as it’s within my alotted number of points for the day. I am not having to pay for it, so that makes me even happier. 🙂 Everyone has a plan that will work for them. Sometimes you just have to try several different things to figure out what works for you and won’t make you miserable.

i don’t diet…i don’t count calories…i live my life healthy…
-eat anything processed(especially sugars)
but i do:
-eat whole foods
-eat lots of veggies
-eat every kind of meat i want
i also work out 4x a week at crossfit…i have a glass of wine when i want & let myself have a cheat day…i havent stepped on a scale in over a year & probably look/feel the best i ever have & im 30. the end.

@Mrs.babycat: I feel you… I hate it. I love beer….not going to lie. We started brewing at home….its soooo hard to not come home and just grab a beer out of the basement. ughhh. I lost about 15lbs for the wedding and big suprise I gained it all back. But we are going on cruise in September so with any luck I can find some sort of motivation to stick with this! We can do it!!
