I’m not a hockey fan at all, but my Boyfriend or Best Friend is always asking me to come to games just because he enjoys my company and because he likes to be able to give someone a kiss whenever his team scores a point.  Four pro hockey games down, and no engagement rings yet!

HAHAHAHH I had this happen to me. Fiance and I went to a Wilkes-Barre game and all the sudden there was an “engagement announcement”…in our section… my heart stopped. I stopped breathing.

It was the stupid mascot proposing to the other stupid mascot. BLOWN. DO NOT get your hopes up.

That is strange. I would say, as hard as it is not to, try not to get your hopes up! If I were you I would be freaking out just the same, though!! I guess just enjoy the experience for what it is….I hate sports but I like to drink so maybe you can have fun hehehe πŸ™‚ if something happens, great, if not at least you can just think you had a fun out of the ordinary experience with your man πŸ™‚

Maybe hockey is such an important part of his life that he wants to share it with you? Even if he doesn’t propose at the game, I’d still take it as a really good sign that he wants to take you instead of one of his friends.

Gwen, you broke my hear a little bit hearing that you hate hockey :'(. But I understand I live in a town where football is #1 and if you say that you don’t like football people look at you like you have 3 heads spitting fire. My advice, don’t get too excited, I honestly feel like he just wants you to go to the game with him. But if you do go good news is that you have a night in the states, and you can eat arena nacho’s, ohh and you can scream yell and swear in public and it is perfectly acceptable!!!!

I love hockey, but I’m definitely not a Pens fan πŸ˜‰

It could be!  Maybe you will find you love hockey after this!

Well, he must know you hate hockey, right? Maybe he’s using this as a decoy and after the game he has something really nice planned? Like, he takes you somewhere and says something like, I am sorry hun, hope this makes up? Then he gets out the ring? Lol, I am a big hockey fan, my fiance is from Canada so he got me into it..but even so..I would not want to be proposed to at a hockey game? Maybe, I mean…idk. I would take it if that’s all he could do! Hahaha.

@deetroitwhat: “I love hockey, but I’m definitely not a Pens fan ;)”

Same here! πŸ˜‰ Our cake toppers were a groom in suit wearing hockey skates, gloves, and holds a stick and helmet in his hands… the bride is cheering and says #1 fan.

Our table numbers were also NHL teams πŸ˜‰ Our Sweetheart table was the red wings… so was my garter πŸ™‚

I can totally see why your paranoid… He’s throwing all kinds of mixed signals! My only advice is to let it all go and just go with the flow and see what happens.

Good luck!
