Have you looked at the invitation wiki here on WB?

Whats the problem? Do you like it all, or none of it? Do you want cutesy, do you have a theme, do you want florals or trees or what-have-you?

Uggghhh that sucks. I did the same thing with ours for a while, it took me ages to come up with a solid concept. I think I actually had four different “themes” I showed to Darling Husband and he helped me pick a favourite and then refine it. So to come up with a “theme” (I hate that word, it wasn’t a theme, it was a concept), I thought about where we came from and what meant the most to us. So I had the Winnebago (we renovated it and got engaged on our trip to the east coast in it), a canoe/lakeside (we live on a river and wanted a semi-rustic wedding), something a bit funky/modern (just because I like graphic stuff) and the elevator (where we met, and what we ended up choosing).

I feel you. It took weeks to finalize our save the dates, and I can’t decide on invites. I’m beyond stressed out, but that is more do to overbearing Future In-Laws. Oh how I hate wedding planning…

Have you looked at http://www.zazzle.com? You also can google for coupons and usually find some good ones. Also, I did a surprise wedding because I hated the thought of wedding planning! Try not to get too stressed!

Lets see if I can describe what I’m envisioning:

square 5×7, birdcage in lower right or left hand corner (personally, I’d say right) names & wording, blah blah. Put the names in one of your wedding colours, wording in black. Fonts up to you, thats super personal preference. Two little flying birds http://www.best-of-web.com/pages/080122-162633.html like this perhaps? across the top/upper left. i don’t know your colours but since you said vintage I’m thinking soft pastels?

Am I way off?

@Bostonsmom: Okay. I’m assuming you’ve done a google search of “birdcage wedding invite” but humour me and see if anything inspires you:

I did this for a friend’s shower invite. I could throw a birdcage on it and tweak the colours if you want! I think it would adapt pretty easily to a wedding invite 🙂

@Bostonsmom: Get out of photoshop and into Illustrator, your life will change. It’s so much better for printed/graphic stuff. It’s frustrating at first, but it gets easier as you get more used to the program.

The second to last one is from here, it’s a baby shower invite though. Do you want me to see if I can pull together something similar? I might have bird vectors that are similar to those ones rather than silhouettes.
