Good luck!  I’m the same way.  I’ve considered getting a dress with sleeves/shrug/etc. but I just don’t like the way those look, either.  LOL!

Let us know if it works!

I just pinned that same site earlier tonight.  Totally going to try it and see.  I figure it can’t hurt.

I hate my arms too, that’s why my Fiance suggested I try this challenge:

I’m definitely seeing results (only 2 weeks). I don’t want to use any weights bc I don’t feel like spending the money on them, lol. So along with this work out I’ve been doing tricep dips and 2 reps of 20 squats. Might as well tighten other things while I’m at it, haha.

Good luck!

Unfortunately, spot reducing is impossible. You have to lose weight overall and genetics will decide what goes first. Good luck!

Im happy with every part of my body except my arms. I have one are, my left one, I call my fat arm. Even after losing a lot of weight it is still bigger than the other. I hope you keep us updated and let us know if this works for you. I had planned to wear a shrug but it seems like they make my arms look larger. IDK. Best of Luck !!Laughing

Good luck! Hopefully you can tone your arms a bit, and if you’re eating more cleanly you might lose weight all over thus making your arms smaller too. Not sure if it’s possible to lose weight in specific spots (I wish).

Girl, don’t hate your arms! You know what would be worse? Not having arms at all. Learn to love what you have!

Good luck!

As PP have said, you can’t spot-reduce. Arm workouts are good for you, but they’re going to build the muscle UNDERNEATH the fat–in order to see those muscles, you have to remove the fat, which means losing weight overall. And–I hate to say it–if your body type dictates that you tend to carry weight in your upper body and/or torso (you have a full bust and/or a tummy), then it’s going to be quite an uphill battle (sorry).

The great news is that they make wedding dresses for all kinds of sins, so keep working out so you feel good, but know that the ace in your back pocket is that there’s a fashion-fix for almost anything, including big arms. When you get to the salon, go ahead and be upfront about your discomfort with your arms and they can help you. Sometimes it can be as simple as wearing the right bra because getting the girls up and high takes focus away from your arms (I would know–I have fat arms, but I’m pregnant and thus, for the first time ever, my arms look normal next to my ginormous breasts!) or getting a dress with a great neckline that similarly moves the focus away from your arms. Also many dresses can have straps altered and/or sleeves added (maybe like a dropped sweetheart sleeve to cover upper arms?) if you ask.

EDIT: Oops, sorry–I didn’t realize that you already have a dress. But since you do, and you love it, then who cares about your arms? They dress is probably bangin’. And at the end of the day, I fully support what PP have said: don’t waste your time with self-hate. Shake what yo momma gave you.

Good luck!!! I had major dress regret soley because of my arms. Some very encouraging bees here told me I looked beautiful and to quit stressing. It helped a litted, but really helped me get over it was http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/plus-size-show-us-your-dress this board. These women are absolutely beautiful!!! I bet every single one of them worried about there arms at one point, but there is not a single bride on that thread that I noticed or immediately thought about their arms!
