You could wear a lovely shawl made of silk, satin, or lace! It would complement the dress without overpowering your frame, and provide added coverage without being too heavy and making you hot.

You could also add sleeves to your gown!

I don’t like my shoulders and arms, so I picked my favorite strapless gown and added sleeves!

I was completely comfortable throughout my wedding and was very happy about my decision to add sleeves!

Also hate my arms…also LOVE my shake weight.

yeah…it looks so awkward, but so far I can tell a difference 🙂 this along with pushups is working out pretty well. just hope I can/will keep at it!

so my fiance makes fun of the shake weight when we see the commercials on tv, he says it looks dirty. but he also made fun of that neckline slimmer and I bought that anyway (seems to be working a bit, but I just got it). so I may buy the shake weight after seeing your comments!

I have what I (not so) lovingly refer to as “German wrestler arms.” They have a good bit of muscle definition, but it is softened by a healthy layer of insulating blubber wrapped around them!

I’m doing P90X right now and I keep upping the weights to hope for the best. If not, I’ll be taking a page from HapaBride’s book and adding lovely little, drapey cap sleeves!

Just remember to hold your arms ever so slightly away from your body during your pictures.  that way it doesn’t ‘spread out’ the fat – that is why one always see celebs with their hand on their hip – no spreading of the fat!!!

This is my trouble zone too! I am more worried about my arms than any other part of my body!! And it bugs the crap out of me that I see like girls that are my size on the bee that seem to have super skinny arms!!!

I’ve spent hours researching boleros online….*sigh* I may go with a wrap type of cover-up or something…cap sleeves do make arms look fatter, but the 3/4 length sleeve ones (lace, satin, or whatever) may not be so bad…but I haven’t tried any of them on. ;(

I have a Shake Weight…i probably need to use it. :-/

BUT…lovely FH reminded me that my veil will probably cover up a lot of my arms, if I position it correctly.

He just doesn’t want me to wear a bolero because he loves my neckline and shoulders.

I hate my arms too – bought my dress this week, and am now on a mission to tone my arms and back.  I walk a lot  and invested in some 2 pound wrist weights (got them at Target for like $15).  I think they really help get my heart rate up when I am walking and I swear I see a difference in my arms and shoulders.

After reading this thread, I am thinking I may need to pick up a shake weight this week.
