I love it on you but YOU have to love it. As a previous poster said, try and call them to cancel if your order was only placed on Saturday.

@JLR1982:  Even if the store HAS ordered the dress, there is no way it has shipped already. They should be able to cancel the dress order and at the very least, transfer your deposit to another dress in their store – that way they won’t feel like they are losing a sale 🙂

@JLR1982:  If you just ordered it, I would call the store IMMEDIATELY. They may let you change it out for another one, but you need to move on that.


P.S. I think it looks wonderful, BUT how you feel in it is what matters most!

You look beautiful, but i understand what you mean, my eye would go directly to that spot on me too. The dress is really pretty, but you have to love it. You obviously loved it when you had it on, but is it looking back at pictures thats makin you sad? If the store can’t cancel your order, try it on with some spanx, they flatten everything out and maybe that’ll fix it for you! Worth a shot if its too late to cancel. 

Hopefully the store can cancel the order and give you a store credit though.

I did this with my first dress also – I let my future mother in law convince me into it and it is 100% opposite from what I ended up with.

I would tell you to call ASAP, or try selling it later. If you are not happy with it now, you will not be happy with it down the road either. When looking though, really look for what you want and don’t take anyone for a little while and do it on your own. And sit on it…if you want it enough, you will want it the next few days after – so don’t buy right away.

The one I bought with my mother in law was a no return place also, but it was cash and carry, so they allowed the return, but I got store credit and not my money back – which is fine…because you will end up needing things that the store may have anyways down the road.

Try selling it when you get it and go and look for something else.  YOU need to love your dress no matter what anyone tells you.

You have almost a year to go. Let me tell you! Igot a dress my mom and sister loved, I began to hate it, so with 4 months to go until my wedding, I got a new one that I LOVE!! My first one was nonrefundable, so I’m selling it in a consignment shop. I suggest the same 🙂 I don’t think anyone should wear a wedding gown they don’t love!

Yes, call ASAP to see about cancelling the order.  Then go back, try it on again, see what you think.  If you don’t love it, keep looking.

Another thought:  try buying some Spanx or something similar to help you feel a little more smooth in the tummy area (even though I don’t think it looks bad AT ALL).  It just might help you feel a bit more confident.

I think the dress is lovely!

@JLR1982:  Normally the store takes a few days to actually place the order…so i would call them IMMEDIATELY! and u can probably order a different dress from the same store!

Even with that said, I think the dress looks great on you. but if its not what you want…then do not settle!
