I don’t expect advice, I just need to VENT!
I have naturally light brown hair and years ago I decided to dye it dark brown. When I got engaged (I had about a years time) I wanted to return it to my original colour but my stylist kept dying it DARKER. Then I went somewhere else and they lightened it…to fire engine red. GAH. I decided to take it into my own hands and dyed it myself and it’s the closest it’s ever been, but of course dark on the bottom, light on the top, and roots growing in.
Now I got my hair cut and she cut it all weird so it’s longer in the front and shorter in the back (I know it’s a “style”, but I’m not sure it suits me).
I really just want to shave it all off and start over! LOL!

Sounds like you need a new stylist! Why not ask a friend whose haricut/color you like where she gets hers done and request their stylist?

Haha this was a new stylist! LOL. I have no friends in this city (Loooooser!) so I’ve been buying Groupons and going to those places. Hahaha. Overall I liked this stylist, and it’s not her fault I’m not a fan of the cut. I guess it’s cute, just not me. I feel silly.

@soon2bhis: ::hugs:: I feel ya girl. And at one point i DID shave my head- all but purple bitch bangs. Bad idea, but I was a pretty hard core punk, so it worked. I just turned 30 and for the first time in my life got a cut that I actually loved 2 days ago- that was, untill I showered this morning, and for the life of me cant get it to look like it did when I left the salon. Even though I bought every product she used on me. Back to pony tails for now I guess 🙁
I would say you really, really need to find a new place to go, I would be livid if anyone dyed my hair the oppisite of what I wanted.

I so feel this! Matter of fact I wrote a rant about a month ago about growing mine out and it being so slow! haha. I also dyed my hair a lot throughout the years…Starting out at 14 getting highlights and it escalated into me dying it blonder, darker, redder, highlights, lowlights. All kinds of stuff. Finally I decided to just go back to my natural color.
At first I was just letting my roots grow out (and was in major hair despair) and then once I got them long enough (ugh) I went to the store, got a box color that matched my hair the closest, and dyed it myself. It worked! It matched my color and while my hair wasn’t EXACTLY the same shade it was so darn close you couldn’t tell. My hair is FINALLY all my natural color but most people had no idea unless we talked about it or I mentioned it. Just sharing!
And sorry about your not-so-awesome cut! :/ I hate it when that happens. The girl cut too much off mine last time (even though I mentioned hey, I’m growing this out for my wedding) and yeah. I was upset.
