@december bride:

Well, I don’t knw about Tammy Faye… πŸ™‚

But if you don’t love it, do something else. Maybe try changing the colors? Or if they used a cream foundation, maybe try liquid?

My honest opinion would be to add more eyelashes. Less on the bottom lid. And a completely different lipstick. Something in a rose tone.

If you wear makeup regularly, are these similar to the colors you use? Maybe try some warmer shades?

I actually don’t think it looks that bad. The one thing I would suggest is to have them not do eyeliner under your eyes – I feel like it really makes the eye look smaller. The second picture, with your eyes closed, looks really good!

I agree that the under eyeliner is too much, and to me the lips are a little too purple… maybe something more natural…

Aside from the makeup (which I don’t think looks that bad)… you are stunning.  I would have never in a million years guessed that you had a 23 year old son.

But if you don’t like the makeup, let them know.  I agree with the PP about some false eylashes.  You have great eyes, make sure they emphasize them so they “pop”!!!

Good Luck, and let us know how your follow-up goes!

I agree with what a lot of other people said about the makeup.  Maybe a bit less eyeliner on the bottom, but otherwise, I think it’s pretty good.

Also, I just wanted to let you know that your hair is BEAUTIFUL.  It looks so glossy and healthy!

can’t believe you have a grown son!!! you look good! but my make up suggestions:

eyeliner – underneath the eye only go halfway – this will make your eyes look more open and the makeup less harsh.  try using blue or green liner as well, it looks like a darker colour that you’re using. I always wear my eye makeup like this after a lesson from the wonderful MAC people!

Lips: use clear gloss – can’t go wrong as it won’t smudge, won’t get on your teeth, etc. and leaves the attention drawn to your beautiful blue eyes!

I agree that the makeup is a little much, for my taste so it just needs to be toned down but i really think just doing what i’ve suggested will make a big difference.  πŸ™‚

I agree with PP on the false eye lashes, I think that would look great and make your eyes pop. And not doing all the eye liner on the bottom. But you look great! Goodluck

Have them use a dark brown or dark green liner instead of black–I have blue eyes, too, and it really enhances them without looking too dark or like you’re wearing too much. I agree with PPs on a different lip and more lashes…I’d also see if they can fill your brows in to make them a bit darker. You have a beautiful face, and a stronger brow would frame it nicely. πŸ™‚

I am close to your age (and a fellow December bride). I think your skin looks fabulous and the make-up does NOT look terrible. I agree that the eyeliner needs to go only halfway along the bottom. But stay with the smoky eye effect and lose the dark lipstick-that is the only problem here. It makes women our age look old. Try a light-colored lip gloss with maybe a nude pencil underneath to match your natural lip color. You are going to look beautiful:)

I’m a 40 year old bride myself.  Like the others have said, avoid the dark eyeliner on the bottom – either go with a softer/lighter brown and only do the outside corner (not all the way along the bottom).  I would also experiment with fake lashes – try the individual ones on the top to get more length and volume.

I really like the lip color but I am going to have to go with the other bees and say a little less liner. Maybe try a little more color on your eyes… I think that it looks good the way it is but I am just trying to think of something that might make you like it more. Let us see what you final make-up look is going to be πŸ™‚
