It seems a little to shiney to me. Have you tried airbrushing? As someone who has always had super oily skin that has worked best for me. Other then that just the lower eyeliner and a different color lipstick and you will be perfect.

A (little!) bit of bronzer for a natural glow.
Instead of eyeliner on the bottom lash line, sweep some brown eyeshadow on the area.
False lashes on top.
A lighter, more natural lip color.

You have blue eyes correct? a warm brown shadow with gold flecks would really highlight blue… I think the greys look a little harsh.

You look great! A few things I would change, though:
A darker foundation/powder. The color you have on kind of washes out your face, and for photos I’ve heard that you want to go a shade darker than usual anyways.
No bottom eyeliner, and a “yes” to false lashes.
And lastly, a lighter lip!
You’re going to be a beautiful bride!

Wow, I think you look great. I love the lips, cheeks, and skin in general. The only thing I’d change is the eyes. I’d use a softer eyeliner — maybe eggplant-colored powder that you apply along the lash lines. And I’d darken your brows so they’re closer to your hair color.
Also — if you feel like any of it is too much, don’t wear it! In my opinion, it’s more important to be happy in the moment and to feel confident in your face-to-face interactions than to endure the feeling that you have stage makeup on, just for your photos.

I agree with all of your suggestions!
OP, you look great in the pic, so I feel like no matter what, you’ll be lovely on your big day 🙂

You’re very pretty! I think you’ve gotten great suggestions for changing the makeup just a little bit to be more fresh and youthful. You look fresh and youthful, so your makeup should be the same.
I think the foundation could be a bit darker and maybe the eyeliner could have more of a smudgy look, or a lighter shade of eyeliner 🙂

the foundation used is too light for your skin and is washing you out, it looks like you have blue eyes, so instead of black eyeliner have them use a color in the copper brown family, but make sure they also apply a little matte brown base as the copper liners don’t stay put as well. They need to do a little more contouring on your face so that the flash from the photos doesn’t wash you out, and tell them to go lighter on the bottom of your eyes!
I would go with a more natural lip that is a little less purple-y. It looks like they tried to do glam on both your lips and eyes and you should really choose one that you want to play up and leave the other one more natural.
By The Way – you are stunning for having a 23 year old! I would have never guessed it.

I agree — too pale. Which foundation is it?
Also agree with the eyeliner suggestions above.
And yes, lighter lipstick.
Did they use a primer too?

As pp’s said, the foundation is to light. It is washing you out. Also I would go for a lighter or different color lip & darker blush. & Probably a little darker on the top of the eye.

You are a beautiful lady!
I’m wondering, did she put SPF foundation on you? Was it the same foundation color when you looked at yourself in the store as we see in the picture? From what I’ve read you don’t want to use any foundation with SPF in it because it can react weird with camaras and flashes, ect. But the make-up artist should already know that?! Check on that. Try a different shade of foundation.
And, I agree with the other suggestions posted here. Make sure you tell them that you want to look like yourself, but enhanced! Let us know how the 2nd trail goes!

Good suggestions on this board. What I notices was your eyebrows.
Either let them grow in or use powder & a stencil to thicken and lower the inner angle of your brows so they are less rounded and more angular to give you a younger look.

i agree with what pp said you could use a darker founation and also about your eyebrows, darker more angled brows give a more youthful look
also instead of the harsh black liner try using either a soft plum or brown liner on ur upper and lower lashes, but only on the outer corner of your lower lashes
i can find that using grey can lead to a mess because when it creases it tends to look black so i would go with (depending on ur colors) a mixter of a golden browm smokey eye.
lashes will look awesome on you and will really open you eyes up and make sure to add mascara to the bottom to give you that doe eyed look
also for the lip color i like the color but i would blot it a little more to soften it, and also because it will satin ur lips making it last longer, and add a little gloss. you dont want to pick a color that is too pale because then it will not show up in photos.
all in all i think you are a beautiful woman and i think you will be fine

Thanks Bees! My list to take to the 2nd trial –
1.) Darker foundation ( I don’t have it here in front of me or I would list what it is)
2.) yes, they did use a primer.
3.) Less eye liner – that is the part I hated the most I never wear that much liner. It was grey by the way not black – so obvisously too dark of a grey if it looks black.
4.) The shadow was actually brown in the compact. So I guess I need a softer wamer brown.
5.) I have very thin eye brows (even when I was younger) So I may get them tinted but certainly more pencil on them.
6.) False lashes – I have, I just didn’t where them to the appointment. Next time I will add them before the photos.
7.) softer lip color. I was Ok with the lip color in the store but the more I look at the photo the less I like it.
Thanks for the help. I was so dissappointed. I have never had my make up done for me and I was so excited. When I got home by Fiance just didn’t know what to say until I went in and washed it all off. Then he said well I wasn’t going to say anything but it looked pretty harsh. That is why I knew I needed to come to the hive. You girls will say somthing!!! Thank Goodness for non-judgmental honesty!
