phew, that felt good.
Having said that let me explain. I am 5’7 and have a 9.5W foot. My fiance is 5’5 and I don’t want to wear heals. I am already taller than he is. I am wearing my hair up and a tiara so I will appear even taller. I can’t wear heels, nor do I really like them…..or shoes at all for that matter. So when my Maid/Matron of Honor found the PERFECT shoes for me many months ago I was so excited……but didn’t buy them because it was way to early, or so I thought.
Around Christmas I started hunting for them….no luck. I was getting nervous because I had to start fitting in Mid-January and had no shoes yet. In a panic I bought the “shoes” I have now….okay they aren’t shoes, they are slippers. There I said it, isotoner slippers. I tried to talk myself into them but I don’t really like them. They will be comfy for the day that is for sure but not what I want.
Since a few months have gone by I decided to try for my shoes that I really wanted again. I found them on Ebay….YAY….not….they are still out of stock – here, there and everywhere! They are not to be had. SO yesterday I found a nice alternative. Bought them on line, brought them home today (I found out the supplier lives about 5 minutes from me) and tried them on. FAIL….they were advertised as a wide width, my toes don’t fit in them.
So now I am back to my slippers. I am sad because I don’t want to wear slippers but with 23 days left I think I am going to have to. So here they are, laugh away, while I cry….
BUT at least you can’t see them under my dress 🙁

I freaking love them! I have size 9 wide fit shoes too, and my SO is juuuuuust one inch taller than me, so I wouldn’t want to wear heels. I don’t normally wear heels anyway.
If it was my wedding I would love to be comfy! And all my shoes are like ballerina shoes. I know how hard it is to find big wide fit shoes.
BUT, in the end it is your day and you need to feel happy, so keep looking if needs be 🙂

Don’t worry – nobody will see your shoes!!! I spent so much time debating over shoes and not a single person noticed them. There is only one photo that you can see them in and its the one where I am putting them on while getting ready 🙂

First, hugs for you! I’ve worn a size 10-11 literally since I was in the 3rd grade, so I understand shoe problems. 🙁
That said I think those slippers look really cute, no one will notice, and you will be SO comfortable!
I’m also a little bit taller than my fiance and I bought these shoes for the wedding… I guess they are halfway between a shoe and a slipper. They have a lot of give so they should stretch to fit your feet:
they also have them in sequins!:

Thanks ladies. While those flats are sooooooo cute, I am wearing ivory. I’m so breaking rules lol.
I believe I will just go with them, I really have too much to do in the next 23 days to continue to look for shoes 🙂

I wear a size 9 and I’m rocking my home-made-from-my-favorite-walmart-ballet-flats to the wedding and I’m SO not ashamed:
