I know! But I think it’s because I’m wearing more clothes (sometimes even my shoes!) and at home I weigh myself naked.

I haven’t really noticed any significant difference between my home scale and the scales at doctors’ office.

Shouldn’t the doctors’ scales actually be MORE accurate than a home scale? They use the weight balances rather than just a digital pressure reading.

Last appointment, I turned my head and said, “Don’t tell me; don’t even care.”

The nurse said, “Girrrrllll I hear you.”

I hate them too, but I always take my shoes off and ask them to deduct 2lbs “because I am wearing my clothes”. They laugh at me and say okay. I am not sure if they do or not, but I have a digital scale, and it is currently in sinc with the doctor’s scale.

I like the Dr’s scale… I just went two weeks ago and it said I weigh the same as my home scale, but after eating breakfast and wearing clothes… So I will stick with it.

My doctor has majorly defective scales!  I have yelled at him enough times–you think he’d have gotten them fixed by now . . .

My scale is pretty close to the doctors scale.  But I go to the doctor with a huge coat and winter boots and they still record that weight.  Ugh!

That’s what I can’t stand at the doctors is that you’re fully clothed and shoes are on! Undecided

I remember one visit I actually asked to stand backwards so I wouldn’t see the weight (yes, I know, I have issues).

@prairiedog: I always do this. I close my eyes until they’ve written it down in the chart and put it away. I just don’t want to know.

I always wear little flats and a tank top under whatever I’m wearing because a huge sweater and my giant winter boots are going to make a big difference.

I hate that they don’t tell you to take off your shoes – it’s like, what’s the point of taking my weight if it’s not going to be close to accurate?
