But seriously I can’t stand it… I think that 3/4 of people out there (big and small, short and tall) look atrocious in all of the above (including myself, and I’m not overweight so it’s not a size issue). I’m tired of going out to the store to find some nice pants only to find the skin tight pants that look painted on me. Why can’t we just go back to the nice trend that looks good on everyone, boot cut jeans (no not the atrocious giant bell bottom jeans). I think they look great on EVERYONE…

i agree, i always buy boot cut, i love them 🙂 although skinny jeans are ok too, it’s just leggings and really skin tight things i am not a fan of

@Jacqui90: i agree, skinny isn’t too too bad (I have a pair that is more like real jeans and works well with a pair of boots I own and that’s about all they look good with)… but now all of the skinny jeans I find are all basically painted on pants… ugh AND they’re all super thin material. WTH!

Agreed. I’ll be so happy when skinny jeans die. They are so unflattering on 95% of women, especially with flats or heels. Unless you have no curves, they make your hips and butt look disproportionately wide. At least boots help balance out the proportions a bit.
As for leggings, they are not pants. I don’t care if you look like Heidi Klum; put some real pants on before you leave the house.

Meh. I’m still rocking boot cut, trendy or not. I am overweight + I carry weight in my legs. I don’t think skinny jeans/leggins would be a good look on me…. haha.

Le sigh. I am guilty of this trend! In my defense– I know I’ll look ridiculous in 10/15/20 years looking back in pictures!

Haha we were at a crab and beer festival this weekend and it was an eye-opening experience. I never go places where people are dressed “trendy” … so our group of friends was quite shocked by the looks people were sporting. My dear dear friend (and the Maid/Matron of Honor at my wedding) was schmammered and decided to start poking people in the butts. Her first targets? The neon-pantsed. I mean, they might as well have had an actual bullseye painted on their rears. I think she confessed to poking at least ten people in the butt. Maybe more.
Can’t take that girl anywhere, I swear!

I just bought jeggings…they’re so comfortable and look great with boots. I also bought dark teal jeggings. I tried purple, but I felt like Justin Bieber

Everything seems very 80’s lately to me and I dislike it. i lived throught he 80’s and it wasn;t pretty the first time around so why why bring it back!

I agree, everything these days seems very 80s! Skinny jeans in particular! They remind me of junior high and high school where we would roll the bottoms of our jeans! Yuck! The only time I like skinny jeans is when they are tucked into boots in the winter.

My thoughts exactly!

My body shape is just not good for skinny jeans or leggings, I’m very much pear shaped. But hey, at least I realize this and don’t try to cram myself into them. I’ve embraced my love of the boot cut! More power to the ladies that can rock them, but I’m SO not one of you.
Also, yeah…I can’t get on board with neon. I just can’t bring myself to do it!

I look weird in bootcut or wider, I do wear skinny or straight, but not the “jeggings” They are made out of normal jean material.

I like flared jeans myself. But I have a really big butt, so it balances out my body more than boot cut jeans do.
Darling Husband tried to talk me into buying colored jeans yesterday, and I was like, hell will freeze over first!!!

Agree 100 %.. the people from what not to wear will settle that trend!
