We are not having favors, they are a waste of money to me. People never take them and I am on a budget anyways. If by some reason I end up getting any favors I will get those little personalized bubble tubes because I can give the left overs to my little girl so they aren’t wasted lol

I feel the same way about favors but because ours will be an outdoor wedding in very hot July, I decided that giving sandalwood fans engraved with our names would be very welcomed.

@JVSBRIDE: I notice and I always question. I think it’s just something that is expected.  I like the idea of a donation. Then you can just have little tags printed.  I see your in September, if you’re doing a fall theme, you can always donate to one of those plant a tree places and they will provide you with the cards and well, they would kind of match. lol

Don’t do them if you don’t want them. The last few weddings I went to didn’t have them and I didn’t really notice until now. You could do like some little chocolates wrapped in tulle or something, that’s not too expensive. Or just do 1 favor per couple if it’s something that men don’t really care about. We’re inviting between 75-80 people to our wedding and we’re having cookie cutters as favors in a jar on our gift table for people that actually want them to take when they sign our signature frame. I only ordered 50 just because I know the men aren’t going to be interested. 😉 That way, favors are still offered but hopefully there won’t be so many leftovers at the end of the night.

For our favors, we’re ordering hand-mixed tea bags (5 for each guest, costs less than 10 cents per bag).  If we have any left over, then we still have delicious tea!  Any leftovers definitely won’t last long in our house.

I think it might be a regional thing.  I can’t remember the last time I received a favor, and honestly I never miss them.  Nor would I be offended that someone didn’t spring for an extra few dollars per person for their already expensive event just to provide some tacky trinket with their monogram on it or even an edible treat.   Lol, I hate favors!!

But my SO likes them, so we are most likely going to do something. 😛

The photo booth will be our favors to the guests. It is also something that we can look forward to having in an album.  The prints come out as 4×6 photos and we will receive a copy of each photo taken.

I know what you mean regarding favors.  I think for my second favor I am going to order these round stickers with our name and date of our wedding.  I am then going to attach these stickers to round magnets and make them into kitchen magnets.

I was only going to have one favor – we ordered these photo frames (same ones that were used in the movie “27 Dresses) to use as our Escort Cards + favors.  I then discovered you really can’t put our name and wedding date on the frames and I do not like those personalized matches (I think those favors are outdated) and making the stickers into magnets was the only very budgeted thing I could come up with even though I am going to dislike taking the time to make about 100 of them.  Right now our count is at about 83 and I think we may have a few more.  I know 100 is way to much but then people can take more than one home.
