Ok this is awful, I’m going to sound like a lousy spouse here!
Today is our wedding anniversary, 2 years. Between the new baby not being easy during the day, the nasty weather and the time it took to recover from my c-section, I didn’t get to go out to get Darling Husband an anniversary present. And not even a card! I tried the other night, I thought Darling Husband could watch the baby while I was out, but he was curious as to where I was going and I had no alibi prepared so I ended up babbling some lame excuse and not going.
Now Darling Husband will be home in 3 hours; then we’ll drop our son at his sister’s house and we have the evening to ourselves.
I need a small present, at least a gesture! Please help me find ideas that can be done in less than 3 hours!!

What are some things that he likes? Favorite activities, colors, foods?

Hmm, what’s his sense of humor like? Would he like an ecard from someecard.com
I’ve printed on out before and used it as a card and Fiance loved it. He doesn’t like cards much though.
Could you go out and buy some steaks or food you like and spend the evening cooking with him?
Maybe just a simple picture frame with a picture of the two of you.
A special cake from a bakery.
Just throwing things out there. Hope you can find something that works!
Something from things remembered or edible arrangements?

My Fiance likes cannolis a ton. I used to pick those up when I wanted to earn extra awesome points. 🙂
Or what about some nice craft beer?

Can you cook him a nice meal? A token for a “you have the remote for a whole weekend” or something like a lie in while you get the baby? Or something similar that you know he would appreciate. Would that work or does it have to be material?

Why not get a card and maybe some chocolate covered strawberries or something? I know that would be enough present for Darling Husband.
