I am 5’3” my fiancé is 6’3”. For the wedding I am torn between wearing heels and being the same height (or at least a little closer) as him, and spending the night tripping around and getting sore feet, or wearing comfortable flats but being tiny next to him in pictures.
What would you do?

go with the heels! And I like how you said you will be the same height as him with your heels on….12 inch heels, a girl can dream!

I am 5’3″. I got a shoe with a smaller heel that was still comfortable and easy to walk in. I was still shorter then him, but not tiny. The key is to get a shoe with a platform. I got mine off of myglassslipper.com and tried it on to make sure I could walk in it.

I wonder if I can find some attractive and comfortable stilts? lol 🙂

I wore delays and I’m 5,4 so happy I didn’t let people talk me into heals I tripped and stumbled so much already

@watergirl4455: can you get some kind of wedges or platforms to add a few inches?
Post # 8
Maybe you could do a wedge? Or more of a platform heel that has a wedge under the ball of your foot, so that you aren’t at so steep of an incline. I am not good at wearing super high heels, but I wear my Jeffrey Campbell Litas, which have the wedge under the ball of your foot and the platform heel, without a problem (they are even relatively comfortable!) and they boost me up five inches!

I say go with flats and be comfortable. There is such a height disparity, that wearing heels probably won’t make a huge difference. I’m only 5’1″, and my Fiance is 6’0″, and I’m wearing very short heels. Embrace your height, and comfort!

my bf is 6’3 and I am 5’4. I never wear heels EVER and, as such, am not used to wearing them and frequently trip and am uncomfortable in them. As such, I plan to wear cute, sparkly flats when we get married. Im used to seeing him being WAY taller than me in pictures anyway (since I don’t wear heels.) Why torture myself?

Wear the heels for the ceremony and the pictures, and have flats to change into for the reception, so your feet won’t get too sore.

@watergirl4455: I’m 5’2 and DH is 6’3. I wore flipflops LOL!! I didn’t have a traditional reception though.

Rock the heels for any photo ops and wear flats for the dinner/dance part of the reception.

@watergirl4455: Wedges! (It makes aaallll the difference in comfort/stability)

Flats! Be comfortable. I am also on the shorter side (5′ 4″ and my fiance is 6’3″), but I still plan to wear flats.
