You have several options, and the veil and cape both look fantastic, though I also wouldn’t wear them both at the same time. I bought 2 veils and ended up converting one to a shawl for the reception. You could have the veil for the ceremony and some photos, then switch to the cape for other photos and the reception, or vice versa. You could also sell the veil, though with so many things going on during wedding planning, if you didn’t spend a lot on it and don’t have extra time, then it may be easier to keep it.

If it’s helpful, I’m wearing a cape veil and not having a traditional one in my hair. I love my veil – it’s a super fun statement piece.

It doesn’t have to be a choice. I think wear a veil for the ceremony and the cape thereafter. I adore the cape by the way

Yeah definitely do not wear both. I totally vote the cape! You could switch into the veil if you wanted, but if the cape is the one you actually love then just wear that. In the nicest possible way, it’s your outfit not your mum’s 🙂
