I went to David’s Bridal and a local boutique today. I tried on a bunch at DB, but I didn’t love anything. I was waiting for the “bridal” moment, but it wasn’t happening, although I was loving the price tags lol
When we got to the smaller boutique, I told my consultant that my criteria were “glitzy, ball gown, sweetheart neckline” and that I was open to ivory, white, champagne, or blush. I had a budget of $1,500 since my FI’s dress that she chose from DB was only $400, and we had a total budget of $2k between us.
I tried on several dresses, and I truly LOVED every single one of them, even a fit-and-flare, which I was sure would look horrible on my size 16 (bridal 18) body. I was fairly certain I was going to go with the first ballgown they had me try on, as it was SO glitzy and just princessy and everything I had ever seen myself in. BUT -the very last dress I tried on, however, was the only one that made me cry. Putting that dress on is what made my wedding seem so much more real, and I knew it was the one.
So here’s my dress – Christina Wu 15572!
