While I never had a “the dress” moment, this one was a logical choice for our big beach wedding. It’s the Aire Barcelona ‘Bolzano’ and is somewhat structured, but light and airy. Here it is (not yet fitted). Thoughts on veil/necklace/earrings? Alterations I should make? I’m not good at the whole ‘fashion’ thing!

it’s absolutely lovely! because of the detail and texture of the fabric, i think something simple for the jewelry would be great, like earrings and a bracelet. of course take it with a grain of salt because i tend to go simpler. for the veil, you could go simple, or perhaps find a veil with a lace trim similar to the one in the dress?
for ideas, regina b has some beautiful jewelry, but if that’s not in your price point (it isn’t for many), there are many great costume jewelry sites with great pieces, like emitations.
whatever you do, you’re going to look fabulous!

The veil is entirely up to what you “envision” yourself wearing or what look you want to go for.
I’ve seen gorgeous beach weddings with a long flowy veil that floated in the breeze, or you might like a shorter one for comfort reasons (and to keep it off the sand!). I personally love fingertip length veils.
Since it’s a beach wedding, I probably wouldn’t go too heavy on the jewelry and definately don’t clash with the details on your dress.
As far as alterations go- you want to feel comfortable in your dress and definately able to sit down and dance without feeling confined. Also, bring the shoes you are going to wear so that the hem is the right length.

It’s beautiful! I think you’ll be best off trying stuff on with the dress as you may like the look of something but it may not suit you or the dress. Though I think it’d be worth trying on a cathedral veil with it to continue the flow of the lovely train of your dress. Congratulations

Thanks! I’ll definitely go simple with jewelry, some earings and a v or drop-neckace. (Pearls or sparkly? no idea!). And a bustle on a sweep train? Even more lost!
