So a couple of weeks ago I posted about how I needed to drink a lot of wine to get through the work week and how my job was discouraging me in many ways, stress, little financial compensation (although I have great vacation time…can’t afford to go anywhere when I’m off work!) and rude ass people.
SO a job opened up at a local university, I applied for it on a whim. I really didn’t think they’d even look twice at me since I don’t have a ton of experience, but I got a call today and I have an interview set up for Monday at 3pm!!!
First part is a one-on-one with the president of the department then a panel interview w/the whole dept. Anyone have any words of wisdom?! I REALLY want this job. Honestly I don’t know if I would like/enjoy the work that much, but I know I could DO it and it’s almost TWICE what I’m making right now so for that, I’ll do anything! HA!

Good luck! A panel interview is the worst but try to focus on the person you are talking to. Try to think of answers to the typical interview questions and also write down a few questions to ask them about to show you are interested.

I’m SO worried about the panel part. Two of my best friends have both worked as hiring managers and have been on both sides of panel interviews so we’re going to do a mock interview this weekend. I generally interview pretty well, so the one-on-one doesn’t make me nervous, let’s hope the panel doesn’t freak me out too bad, haha! We could SOOOOO use some extra cash flow (well, any flow at all would be nice!) so I’m praying REALLY hard that this works out.
My husband was joking tonight that I could cut my “commute” in half if I got the job. Currently it takes me 11 minutes to get to work and the University is the halfway point 😉

Well I had my interview today and I really don’t know how well it went 🙁 I’m hoping in the next week or two I’ll know whether or not I got it.
Thanks for all the good juju!
