I was recently thrown a surprise bridal shower. I accidentally found out about it a week before but played along with the whole process of getting me to the venue unsuspecting. It was so silly all of the excuses they were coming up with I had to try my best to not smile or laugh at all the shenanigans.
Everyone is so proud of themselves for surprising me I don’t want to tell anyone that I already knew so I had to come on here to blab. Even Fiance was part of the secret plans and it was really sweet so I can’t even tell him!
Plus side: I made extra effort to do my hair/makeup/outfit nice LOL and the shower really was so wonderful!
Any bees have a similar story?!

My bridal shower theme was a secret, but I kinda knew it would be tea party themed and then a friend messaged me and said hey I won’t be able to make it to your tea party thing lol even though the invite said surprise and to contact my sister! I still acted surprised and I really was thrown off when we pulled into the four seasons.. I figured it wouldvd been at someone’s home

@Pink Asawa: My coworkers gave me a surprise bachelorette in December. I really wasn’t on to it until maybe a few hours beforehand… but a few things made me heavily suspect. I was supposed to go to a coworkers house for a party that I was just NOT in the mood to go to. One coworker was pushy/insistant when I said “I think I can make it… I’ll see.” Then I complained to my man, and he was all “They care about you, they want you to be happy, they invited you, so you need to go… blah blah” and he’s never like that… so between the two, I thought something was up. Then when I put on jeans to go and he told me I looked schlubby and HAD to change (WHAT?) to go to a party at a coworkers house on a Tuesday night, I was pretty sure lol :oP
I acted surprised, though, and when they asked I said I was SHOCKED. :oP

Aw so cute! I had a similar experience, with a surprise birthday party. It was so nice of everyone to put it on for me, I just wanted to make them happy too

@Pink Asawa: Awww that is sweet of you to keep playing along! I don’t know which is better, knowing about it and being excited and knowing how much your friends/family care to throw a party, or being surprised with it all at once!

Haha! I kind of had to play along with my “surprise” engagement…because my sisters and mom were being too suspicious! Haha!

my daughter’s shower is on April 13th. She knows about it, but not the theme, etc. My sister sent her RSVP to my DAUGHTER instead of to me, talking about the (up-til-then-secret) bachelorette party we’re planning for afterward. (have to do them the same weekend because of out-of-town guests being there) Ugh! No more surprise there, I guess….
