I am 31 and people think I am in my early to mid twenties.
I still get carded when I try to buy liquor, get into a club or a casino.
It annoys me but I realize it is a compliment.
What can I say? Black don’t crack!

People seem to assume I am either very much younger than I am (they think I am my 12 year old sister’s twin) or far, far older (they ask if I am my (47 year old) father’s sister)
It is rare for people to guess my actual age, I am not sure why though

I just turned 30 last month but am mistakenly taken for much younger. When I was younger (21-22) it annoyed the hell out of me and now not so much. What is funny is my Fiance looks older than his age of 33 (late 30s-early 40s possibly) and so whenever we go out and a situation occurs where ID is needed I get carded but he doesnt lol
I think it is my face shape & ususally I have bettie page style bangs (or same cut, longer bangs) but I’ve been growing them out and won’t be cutting them (they are sideswept) until after our wedding in May.
I also attend community college & am really involved with social activities there. A majority of the students or students that participate in the clubs are “normal” college age 18-21 so I think that also plays into people thinking I am much younger.

I am almost 23 but most people think I’m about 18, guess it will be a good thing when we get older 🙂

I don’t look younger than I am, but my SO does and I can say it’s a little frustrating sometimes because people think he is anywhere from 16 or 17, but no where near his actual age of 22. I’ve been told, sometimes in a joking way, sometimes in a not so joking way, that we look weird, or that my SO looks waayyy too young for me, etc. I’ve had a fear that maybe we’d look a bit odd standing next to each other on our wedding day and family, friends, or distant aquaintances who have not met him might wonder why I married a 16 year old boy.
I’ve had a friend say that she can’t imagine why I find him attractive or that she doesn’t find him to be very attractive because he looks too young, etc. I had another friend ask me if I was into much younger guys because of SO or how I could have found him attractive to begin with. When we started dating he was about 17 and everyone used to say he looked twelve, but to me, he was just always so cute and sweet and I guess I fell in love really fast, because I never could, and still don’t, see that about him.
But, my sympathies to you!!!

@allinoelle: yep! All the time! I’m 26 and always get ID’d at the liquor store- sometimes im forced to recite my drivers license i look that young. When I bought adult bus tokens once , the worker laughed and asked for my ID bc he didn’t believe I was an adult- and mind you an adult fare is for someone 19+
At work , I always get asked if I am a student, but reality is, is thT I am senior staff and graduated university 4 years ago.
i hear ya, it’s A pain sometimes, but itll work in our favour when we are older 🙂

I still get ID check all the time but maybe because I’m Asian, we tend to look younger than our actual age? My Korean hairdresser was shock after he found out my actual age.
He was carefully asked me how come I have so much hidden grey hair and asked may he asked my actual gae. When I told him I’m 32, he was in complete shock and told me he thought I’m 25 the most
Trust me, when u hit 30, you will appreciate your babyface. It’s like a music in the ears when people check my ID hahaha, best part is the security stop me and told my Fiance, no, just me LOL

Lol that’s hilarious!
I used to complain to my mom about having such a baby face.
My parents are both 53 and everyone that meets them always tells me they look to be in their 30s still. VERY awkward moment when this lady thought my dad was my boyfriend… Now, I tend to say “hey dad!” more loudly than not.
I’m 23 and I get told I look like I’m 16-17.
If I’m walking alone, it’s a bigger hassel.
The downside to having a baby face is that I’m always cute. Not hot.
The upside is that I will embrace it when I’m older

It drives me crazy! I am turning 28 in August, and I get carded while drinking, buying lottery tickets, going to watch an R-rated movie, or even when talking free samples people have asked me if my mom was in the store becathey she needed permission before giving me a sample. all of these events have happened in the last year. people keep telling me I’ll appreciate ot when I’m older, but I doubt it.

@allinoelle: I’ll be 25 in May and when I was at my glucose test for my pregnancy, there was a teen mom who had just turned 16 there and we were chatting and she was shocked when I said how old I was, she thought I was a teen mom too >.<

I am almost 30, last year I got ID at an all age concert because I was going to the bar. I asked do I look underage and the security guy said I did. I was very flattered.
