That’s right. One hundred eight million one hundred seventy two thousand eight hundred veryyyyy longggggg seconds of my life have been spent waiting for his ass , (not to mention all of those prime baby-making years wasting away )
You can’t tell me he couldn’t find any time in there to propose to me before I turned into one of those crazed girlfriends. I mean, really? He was just. that. busy. ?
Ah, so when my SO declared his love for me the day before my birthday and a couple months after we met, he said: “Shiny, I am in love with you, and I am going to marry you one day!” It was soooo sweet and perfect 🙂 Of course I said I loved him too 🙂 (and then got super excited because I knew for sure that he was the one!)
…so just now I was reminiscing about that declaration of love moment but *never* really thought that “one day” would mean one day yearrrrssssssssss (or millionnsss and millionnnnsssss of seconds) later! I started to wonder exactly how long ago that day was and did a quick Google search (I just finished a math final a couple hours ago and am mentally too tired to figure it out myself haha), and I found this cool website that tells you how many years, days, hours, and/or seconds are between two dates. I typed in that lovely day back in ’08 and today’s date and got my shockingly long number. Here is the link for your enjoyment (err…obsession?..)…
My thoughts are that since he brought marriage up first that day, I have technically definitely been a lady in waiting since then.
Ladies, how long have you been waiting???? Does seeing the time in minutes or seconds make it seem longer??
