Holy stinkin cow. I was athletic most of my life, until college when I stopped working out and surprise! Got fat. So now (post wedding of course) I am GOING to get in shape. I have old injuries to my knees from basketball so being overweight means my knees hurt, ALL the time. When in 6 months I have to be able to be a nurse for 12 hours a day, that is not okay. So tonight was day one of the 30 day shred!! I hurt all over but I feel good. I am working on getting our diet better, meal planning, no snacking, only having healthy snacks if I do (fruit!) so hopefully it helps. I also know that in the next 5ish years we want to start having kids and while I am not obese by any means, I still know being overweight can make that harder. I am not working on skinny, I am working on healthy! I’m never going to be a size 2, my body isn’t built for that so healthy is the goal. I do know that healthy for me is about 40 lbs less than I am now. So here we go! Hopefully I can keep this up.
Anyone else started the 30 day shred recently? How are you doing?
