I don’t think it is bad that you don’t know everything about your ring.  I knew the weight of mine but now I’ve forgotten.  So don’t feel bad.

Well I kinda helped pick mine out, so I know all the details. But I think a lot of women find out the details when they insure their rings.

I dont think its bad at all 🙂 The only reason i know all the specs on mine is i had to get the appraisal to send to the insurance company.

As long as you love it I don’t think it matters! The only reason I know about mine is that I have the cert which goes with it.

Ooh, I think black diamonds are awesome! Can you post a picture? I don’t know all the stats of my ring (clarity, color.) I just know the shape and carat weight. I think a lot of brides hear it and then forget.

I happen to know the weight and clarity and quality of cut of my diamond… however, I was there when Fiance bought it and the salesperson explained it to us.  As I recall, the receipt had that information on it too.  Maybe you can ask your Fiance if he still has the receipt and if there’s any info on it?  Otherwise the store might have a record of what they sold him too.  Not to mention, if the diamond was certified, you should have a little certificate stating the details about it… not sure if they certify black diamonds though!

Honestly though, no one has ever asked me “what weight and clarity is your diamond” so you may never have to know those details!
