I found my dream dress online. Before Ihad a chance to even go try it on it was discontinued at the store. I happened upon it as a resale from another bride so I impulsively bought it. That is all fine and dandy, the problem is I do not fit into yet and I bought it knowing that. You hear all the time that you should not buy a dress in a size you think you will be by the wedding. I am a fairly rational person but sometimes I don’t think clearly. The good news is I have been that size, it’s not a drastic amount of weight I need to lose, and I am already on a pretty solid exercise plan. Hopefully it will be fine but now I am nervous! I literally HAVE to lose the weight. I have plenty of time and if it doesn’t work out, I get to buy a new dress. That’s fun right?? 🙂
Just thought I’d share. 🙂

To comment on why this is in the fitness boards, I am doing doubles of P90X. I do some cardio in the morning and the videos in the evening. It is tough but I absolutly love the workouts. Plus I have a P90X buddy and we have a blast doing it. I totally would suggest it to anyone because not only will you lose flab, you also get a really nice toned body. I also am adding in weight watchers to make sure that I am eating well.

How many sizes do you have to drop? Also don’t forget to factor in time to have it altered! Does it have a corset back?

No corset back. I need to drop two dress sizes. I totally think I can do it. I am a freak about a schedule and I am on one that will allow for some flexibility while still getting results. Bring it on Tony Horton, I have a dress to fit into! It is, however, an excellent motivator.

Go for it! Its a done deal and you can always add a corset in to give you that flexibility as well…
P90X is great! I did it for one rotation and got good results. I am in cross fit now and getting better results for me, but I liked P90 a lot because it does involve weight training.

i am currently working to fit into the dress i bought…except it fit when i bought it. It currently wont zip! I tried p90x and was so unmotivated by tony horton, i was miserable through the workouts. I quit after a few days and started turbo jam. Its fun for me but its very repetitive (i repeat the workouts often because I either do 2 a day or do the longer workouts instead of the 20 minute). I want to get turbo fire next. It’s supposed to be awesome! Good luck dropping the weight! you can do it!
