Fiance and I decided a few weeks ago to postpone our church wedding and have a city hall wedding in a few weeks. I found a dress on Saturday (which I love!) but now I”m at a loss.
The dress is very different from the one I will wear at the church wedding, so none of the accessories I have already picked out will work with it, except the shoes. I have NO idea what kind of veil (or maybe fascinator) and jewelry would work with this dress.
Here’s the dress. It looks a bit lighter ivory in person. Any suggestions are welcome!

I wouldn’t wear a veil to a city hall wedding especially if you are having a church wedding later on. If you maybe wanted to do a small flower or something that might look nice but it might be hard to get it to match the dress exactly.
Since the dress has a lot going on with the pleating, I would keep jewelry simple. No necklace and maybe some pearl earings.

I really like that dress and I like the idea of a small hair flower, possibly a bright pink bloom. I would wear my everyday earrings (pearls or diamond studs), a simple necklace (pendant not beads) and a simple bracelet (I have several silver ones I can think of which would work). What do you typically wear for acessories with a cocktail dress? Don’t overdo it because I assume this is a daytime trip to the courthouse but maybe something a bit more than you would wear to work.
I always like sentimental jewelry, do you have a piece that was a gift from Fiance or a relative? I think that would be a great place to start!

Thanks for the feedback. I agree with keeping the jewelry simple. I am really wondering if I should put anything in my hair to look a bit more bride-y or just leave all that for the church wedding….
