Don’t take this the wrong way, but do you think you were a C or D list invite after others RSVP’d no? That’s seriously the only reason I can think of for such a short window.

If I got an invite that close to the wedding I would assume I was on the B list…

Well, it’s nice that they like you enough to want to have you at their wedding! 🙂

@Roe:  Wow, they’re just disorganized then!  Haha.  Definitely don’t feel badly about yours.

@Ballet513:

@Juliepants:

Motion carried!

If they sent out the STD then it should have reflected the wedding date and location for further planning and notice to guests. If the STD only reflected the wedding date, then they were wrong.

Hope it’s a good wedding anyways 🙂

I despise the concept of Save-the-dates; and this only underscores how pointless they can be. Their excuse for existance is that they allow people who have to travel to plan ahead. Well then, where was all the planning information?

My first thought was “well, what’s the problem? You are supposed to reply immediately regardless of the ‘reply by’ date that some hostesses include to prod  tardy respondents”. But if this is a “destination” wedding, they are pushing their luck … Or maybe hoping fewer of their guests will be able to accept. Or just disorganized.

I’ve had Canada Post take over four weeks to deliver an invitation: with that kind of performance even eight weeks is cutting it close for a non-destination wedding!
