I’m traveling on business. I wanted a taco. I went to a mexican restaurant and sat at the bar. Apparently a girl sitting at the bar alone = drunk guy hitting on her. I was wearing my wedding ring, but I guess this guy assumed that I was looking to cheat on my husband because I had the audacity to be alone, sitting at a bar eating a taco on a Friday night.
I was trying not to be a total ice queen so I answered him in one word answers. When he got up to go to the bathroom, his friend asked if I was married. I said “yes” and he said that I was leading his friend on. Excuse me? I’m just trying to eat a taco, buddy. All I could think the whole time I was there was “wow, this is what it’s like to be single? How do people do this??”
Can’t wait to get home to my husband!
Anyone other attached bees SOOO grateful to not be single anymore?

ugh thank God I’m not! I went out to a bar with Fi on NYE and it was redic how many men were trying to grope themselves all over the shot girls, how many of them were desperate to be in a relationship or just get laid. It was a little cray cray

Yeah I totally hear ya. I hated dating even when I was single. LOL. And going out to bars or clubs without my guy sucks because guys will still hit on me and seriously don’t even pay attention to the ring. Lame.

I am. I didn’t expect to be a single parent and avoided dating for a year and a half. My fiance was lucky; my friends approached me about him the right way and I gave him a chance. I definitely wasn’t going to put myself out there, it seemed too exhausting!

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS! I think about that too. Especially when I notice a guy looking at me and stuff. I just keep thinking omg I am so so so glad I am married to the love of my life and dont have to worry about the dating/being hit on crap.

ME! If I feel uncomfortable around a man I make it extra obvious that I’m wearing a rock. lol.

OH dating is the absolute WORST! Before I met my Fiance I went through a spell where I’d date these guys that seemed nice at first but really just wanted a piece of ass instead of a relationship. I was ready to throw in the dating towel and just resign myself to thinking that men in Pgh were just all pathetic pigs on a mission, or that maybe that I just attract crazies!….until I met my guy. I can’t imagine dating again.

Yea, I’m very glad to be engaged! I loved dating my fiance before we got engaged as well… but I’m so glad I have a ring so that guys will leave me alone (for the most part). I have myself trained to not even look guys in the eye or notice them that much when I go out with my friends. That gets me into trouble sometimes though. One of my guy friends will be like, I tried to say hey to you last night and you just ignored me!!! Haha 🙂 I’m like, “oops… I really ignore guys when I’m not with my Fiance. But you should have tried harder since we’re really friends! I would have totally said hey and hung out with you!” Haha 🙂

Ugh, definitely. When I talk to my single friends and hear the antics they get up to to try and get a boyfriend, or the things guys say/do to them to try and hook up with them…I cherish my “boring” “married” life that much more.

Haha, hubs and I find ourselves saying this whenever we go to the bar and see this kind of stuff. I wouldn’t give anything to be single again, and he feels the same way!

the last time I went on a girls night out, some random proposed to me and told me I was the girl of his dreams, so I flashed my ring in his face and said sorry I’m already engaged to the man of my dreams! He still didn’t take the hint and kept hitting on me all night!!!

Men who think that eye contact is basically consent to a relationship are so damn charming.

omg yes. when my cousin calls me to tell me about the last horrible date she had, or her last horrible bar experience, it’s like “thank you jesus, I hope I never have to go through that again!” or even if my sister is going out on a date and she calls me freakin out about what to wear. no worries! Fiance likes my sweatpants! lol
