I would start by writing them without a goal length in mind. Then read them out loud and see if they feel too long or short and adjust as necessary.

This is coming from someone who hasn’t written her vows yet thought.

They can be whatever length you want them to be. The only thing I would think about is if they’re about the same length as your FI’s. Why don’t you two decide together how long they should be?

I wrote my own vows. I think 1 to 2 short paragraphs is good, anything longer than that should probably go in a private letter to your Fiance

I think this could either go in ceremony or traditions.

I don’t think it has to be any required length…I would personally go with something under a paragraph, sweet and to the point, but I don’t like speaking in front of large groups of people either. πŸ™‚
