I’ve gotten emails like this before…they are a scam & I don’t entertain them. They will find a real person’s name to use & that is how it looks legit. I wouldn’t entertain it, but, you can do what you want, just be cautious…

Sorry to break it to you, but this is a scam. Nobody just gives away money, much less to random strangers they contacted via email.

italybabe:  smh…. this is a scam. I have recieved these emails all of the time. NOrmally they will ask for your identification information as well as banking information to wire you this supposed money and verify that you are who you are. Looking someone up on the internet doesn’t prove anything, he could have set up what appears to be real evidence of who he is online for the very purpose of making sure that if people go and look him up there’s some kind of realistic proof. Google the phone number he gave you and see what comes up. a lot of times when you do that, you’ll come across stories similar to what you are saying now.

You’re kidding right.  All this crap is a scam. As is people offering you WAY over what you are asking if you’re selling something on craigslist or ebay.  And the “IRS” calling you and telling you that you owe them money.  And any get rich fast scheme that requires you to pay money to get access to it.

italybabe:  It’s a scam. It’s one of the oldest and most transparent scams around on the Internet.

When you lose all of your money you can’t say you weren’t warned about it.

DONT DO IT. The minute you hand over your information, whoever is sending those emails will steal every last penny you own.

italybabe:  PM me the number. I’ll show you it’s a scam. Geez… this is like a regularly used scam. I’m not quite sure how you aren’t aware of this bee 🙁

RUN! This is a SCAM! Exact same story featured on the news here in Toronto, Canada. Eventually the scammer asks you for money that he will need to pay taxes, bank fees, wire transfer fees, etc. before the funds can be sent to you. Once you’ve sent the money you’ll be left high and dry.

italybabe:  and use some common sense, do you think he’s not aware of the phone number he gives out and where that number can be traced to? of course the number is from where he says he’s from. this still doesn’t prove anything. Please don’t give him any of your information.

italybabe:  this is a joke right? you can’t actually believe that this is for real?

Its a scam, please dont be stupid and give him your info bc they will steal your identity. Its happened to me twice and I am very careful as to what I do with my info.
