You cant be serious? PLEASE tell me you aren’t serious or I will have to go and find something or someone to restore my faith of the intelligence of the human race.
italybabe: I love Italy and I am Italian but it is completely wrong and naive to say nobody steals identities in italy….I have found that Italy has problems with people stealing anything that is not concreted or glued down!! I even heard of a mayor in a town who wanted to beautify the place by adding grass and plants to the piazza. it kept getting stolen so he finally gave up.
It is also normal for thieves use metal detectors when they rob your house to find any hidden gold or jewelry.
You also live in a country that makes it ‘illegal’ to pay for anything over 1000 euro’s in cash.
You also live in a country that 48 cents in every euro earnt is black market. As in tax is not paid on it when it is supposed to be.
I highly doubt that people draw the morality line on identity theft in italy. Italy is beautiful but it is a very corrupt and unsafe place to live. You don’t realize it until you move to a place that you can wear your jewellry out in public, carry cash in a shoulder bag without fear of getting it stolen.
Be smart listen to everyone because this is a scam. don’t do anything that will cause you heartache or regret down the line.
Viva La Scam.
Well it is just in time for Easter so I’m sure the Easter bunny will be delivering the funds to you…..
italybabe: We (In South Africa) get these ALL the time. Like, ALL the time. And they’re always “from people in Great Britain somewhere, or the States, or north Africa”.
Forget all the people asking if you’re stupid. As another bee pointed out, we’ve all been told by other people at some point. Obviously as an adult, you’re expected to be cautious and do a looking into before doing things. Yes, the whole point of fraud is to seem legitimate – that’s exactly how they get you.
But please do remember – NO one wants to give away that amount of money to some stranger. Certainly not from the head of a bank, and certainly not from SA or anywhere in Africa. ;o)
I’ve had loads of these kind of emails on my work and private emails. It is 100% a scam I can guarantee that. Delete it and move on.
Oh and I saw your comment regarding Europe…I’m from the UK and identity theft is common ground here, I can’t imagine Italy being any different.
