But I went to a bridal show today. I mainly went as support for my newly-engaged best friend, but I was checking things out too. My SO has the ring in his house but he wants to wait until after next weekend when we go to see his parents. I hope this isn’t jinxing me!
On a brighter note, I think my budget that was discussed with my mom last week will work out, and my parents really like the place I want.
Am I crazy or getting ahead of myself? I picked the ring and I know it’s coming soon, so is planning at this point a bad thing?

@aggiemae: I think just looking is pretty harmless, but it really depends on what “triggers” your waiting angst. I know lots of waiting bees have asked about starting stuff pre-engagement and have gone on to get proposed to, I don’t think you’re jinxing it!

It’s funny because you think going to a bridal show was bad luck but then discuss a budget… I don’t think you’ll jinx yourself at all especially if you two are at the point of almost being engaged!

As long as you don’t actually put a deposit down on or book anything without talking to your SO, I think you’re fine! I’m doing a lot of the same things actually haha

He knows about all of this and understands that I am just so excited to marry him!
