The biggest issues I saw were the underage drinking, the big chunks of time between events (waiting for an hour may be fine, but after three hours I would have staged a revolution with screams of “give me cake or give me death” ringing through the halls) and that the bridal party behavior was crap. Other than that, it just sounds like they didn’t want to spend the money. They probably should have done a cake and punch ceremony rather than forcing their guests to wait around for lousy food and company, then they could have gone and gotten drunk afterwards.

I don’t get why people are so offended by this post by the OP. Your wedding guests are taking time out of their schedule to attend your wedding… sometimes that includes flying from another state, paying for a baby sitter, taking time off work, etc. and at the same time giving a gift to the couple. At the very least, you should make sure your guest are comfortable. If you can’t do a wedding tastefully, don’t do one at all (this doesn’t mean it has to be expensive).
