OK well, flights & hotel are booked – I’m definitly Eloping to The Bahamas!
My elopement is a secret for now, telling family/friends Mid-July about our Early-August plans… so I don’t really have anyone to share in the excitement that I JUST BOUGHT MY WEDDING DRESS!!! Maybe some support from my Bees?
Right after I got engaged I found this dress online, and have probably looked at HUNDREDS of dresses since then, only to keep coming back to this one… today I finally bought it! (Spent about twice as much as I’d hope to though…)
I love the embroydery so much… although it is definitly going to be WAY TOO LONG (I’m very, very short). Looking forward to it arriving and trying it on before sending it away to be altered…
Bought from Blue Velvet Vintage.
I’ll let you guys now when it arrives!!!

Honey it’s beautiful! I actually gasped and got the chills. (I guess this means that I would steal your dress for myself if I could)

I love the dress!! Why wait to tell your family though? Are you afraid they wouldn’t approve? I think as long as you have your mind and plans set, anything they say shouldn’t matter. They will get over it if they love you. I think they would want to share the fun of your engagement. Just a thought. I know I would want to share in that time with a close family/friend. Good luck and congrats!!

@WillyNilly: That’s basically the best comliment ever! Thank you!!! *blush*
@MrsJoyful80: I Love the designs, I didn’t know it was a specific brand, do you have pics of yours?
@RoyalPurpleBride: The reason it’s a secret for the time being is that my Best Friend is having her (full & proper) Wedding Mid-June, our families are very, very close and I see no need to disturb focus at this point to announce my elopement, I’ll still have time after all the excitement dies down. I know they won’t be too happy about it, but they’ll accept it, because they know me and my fiance very well, and that this is exactly what suits us best. 🙂

Well, the dress arrived, safe & sound this week!
I’m very surprised that I actually LOVE the legnth. It’s floor level in front, and because of the asymetrical hem has a wee bit of a train! So I’m not going to get that altered, but the top is way too large (Honestly I probably should have gotten a size down, but this was the last one in stiock).
Here are some pics!
As you can see from this last pic – the top is WAAAAY to big! But – I’m VERY HAPPY with it!!!! I’ll update you again once I’m able to get it altered (& find a slip to wear under – as it’s quite see-thru!)
