I was just reading about this last night. How much was it at target? I’m thinking of getting some too πŸ™‚

My OB recommended Preseed right when we started TTC.  I purchased mine online and think it was much cheaper, however, it seems like you got some great coupons!  I,personally, just fill it up about a third of the way.  I figure as long as I feel lubricated, then it’s a sufficient amount.  Best wishes to you!!!!!!!!

I actually only used the applicator 2 times, we mostly just used it as a regular lubricant. We bought ours online too and it was around $16, but you got some good coupons so I say it evens out. We got pregnant the 2nd month of trying, but the first month we didn’t really give it our all, so to speak. I think the pre-seed helped, but I also did lots of other tricks…BDed 8 days in a row (5 before I thought I ovulated and 3 after), butt up on pillow and a few others. Good luck to you and happy baby making πŸ™‚

my only concern with preseed is that it is kind of awkward to use in the middle of sex, with the applicator and all. It seems like it might ruin the mood? do you have to put it in 15mins ahead of time or does it matter?

I used it with the applicator the first few times but it was honestly SO much! If you do use it that way, I’d use like 1/4 of the suggested amount. Since then I use a teeny tiny but as a regular (external) lube and that is MORE than enough! πŸ™‚

Good luck!!

@lilsweetie:  The instructions recommend you insert it 15-30 minutes (I don’t remember the exact time) before getting busy. When we were TTC the sex was often planned enough in advance (or I had decided to jump Darling Husband enough in advance) that I could insert it. I don’t imagine that would be quite as necessary if you were just using it as lubricant and not specially as a fertility aid.

@Sigyn:  I only ever needed about a third of an applicator’s worth. Anything more just felt like way too much.

ETA: Good luck!

We used it on our first month of TTC and got our BFP. I filled the applicator up 3/4 of the way full and put it in before we got busy. We also had our sex nights sort of planned and I always knew when we were going to BD. We also used it a little in the beginning on Darling Husband during foreplay. Then we used it as a regular lubricant. I think it helped and I also did the hips up in the air thing but when we BD it is always in the cowgirl position so I’m not sure the hips up afterwards really mattered for us.

I have two good friends who had positive results with pre-seed and did NOT use the applicators, just used it as regular old lube, so i think that’s the route we’ll go as well.

The instructions do make it seem like you have to use a TON!

I didn’t use PreSeed when we got pregnant. I bought it, but never used it. With the OPKs, get some internet cheapies like Wondfo or stick ones. They’re so much cheaper and just as accurate if you can get positives on them, some women can’t. I went through a lot of OPKs, so buying them cheaply helped.
