- Wedding: August 2014
Ok, so here is the color pallet we have been considering.
I was going to make our dresses but that is just too much work, I have actually done this for a previous set date and wound up selling them on Etsy because that’s what I do, change my mind. Yesterday, I found a gold dress that I loved and then my girls found this green dress. The two will not work!! I love the cute little dresses my girls have picked for themselves and since the wedding is really more for our kids and not us (we would just go to Vegas if it were up to us) I really want them to be happy and go with what they like.
Oh, and the fact that my girls can agree on a dress is amazing as well!
I think thier dresses really fall close to the aloe in this scheme.
This is my dress, currently under construction, and in case your monitor varies it falls under the light salmon / peachy category.
My concern is with the white on the dresses the girls have picked. I think it will not blend as well into the color scheme.
Another possibility is this dress from David’s in white.
I really dont want to wear white for so many reasons, I am plus sized, I dont like white, I fall into the category of thinking that you really shouldnt wear white if you have been married, have kids, not a virgin, after Labor Day, etc, etc. That is just how I was raised and I know what my mother will say!! LOL! I didn’t even wear white the first time I was married, I wore ivory. I would buy the ivory in this dress but it completely throws off the colors with the white on the dresses my girls have chosen.
I am also considering, maybe, just going with this dress from David’s with a white sash or something to set it off.
Just don’t know what to do!!
