Long story short…I have been TTC for close to a year now. In that time I have only had 3 cycles on my own.
Dr. put me on provera to get my period started, I was told to take it for 10 days and my period would follow somewhere from a few days, to a week or so after finishing the pills. Well, I started bleeding heavily on day 6 of the pills.
Now we were finally approved for Clomid. He put me on BCP to get a new cycle started, and 12 pills into the pack and I’m having period-like bright red bleeding.
I don’t understand how I keep bleeding on pills that are meant to make you bleed after withdrawing from them (from what I understand..)
Trying to get ahold of my doctor, but it’s the weekend. I doubt I’ll have a normal period after this pill pack is over, and even if I do- I don’t know if we should waste one of our 6 tries of Clomid on a questionable cycle.
Please tell me someone else has experienced this, Dr. Google is yielding no results and I have to wait until Monday to talk to my doctor..

I’m sorry I can’t help you at all but i thought I’d bump to help you out 🙂
Sorry even thou I am not in the exact same situation as you I am TTC too (9 months) and I know the feeling of being broken so ((hugs)) and hope someone else has some advice for you x

First of all, you aren’t broken, not even close to it so don’t even go down that road of thinking! You’re just different and with help maybe modern medicine can help you out, but no matter what, you are not broken!
I’m sorry I don’t know anything about Clomid or had any experience with it but I wanted to comment to not only bump this, but to tell you that you aren’t broken. Have you checked out the TTC year + thread? Maybe some of the ladies on there can help you out. Good luck!
*sends baby vibes your way*

Hi sweety… also replying to give support… I’m familiar with that ‘broken’ feeling… I’m on my 10th month ttc’ing and it’s very difficult not to feel broken. Like the bee above said; you’re absolutely not borken! I know it’s easier to say than to feel, but at least I wanted to give you some virtual hugs. I hate that I can’t be more useful… but will be hoping your day goes by VERY quickly so you can talk to your doc monday!

@MissLunchbox: This isn’t related to TTC exactly, but years ago when I was on BC, I had the same problems with bleeding. It;s ultimately why I stopped, because trying 6 different types of BC and bleeding constantly after starting them was.. a major bummer to say the least.
I know that isn’t exactly the same situation, but it is extremely frustrating to have that feeling of “why does this work for everyone else and not me??”. Medicine isn’t 100% perfect, and you may need to try a few things before you find what will work for you.
On a sidenote, I am wondering if you have tried or heard of a supplement called “pregnitude” (yes, the name is dumb)? My doctor told me about it (I haven’t taken it consistently because I’m not yet TTC), but it’s over the counter, and it looked like a lot of people surprisingly saw success with it. Maybe try googling it?

Thank you everyone for the kind words! We are staying positive, I’m so thankful we have finally made it to being approved for Clomid, but now that I have it in-hand and ready to go it is so hard to have another setback.
It’s so strange! I can’t get my period to save my life, but when they put me on pills that should give me withdrawal bleeding, I can’t stop getting my period while on them! Hopefully this is something he has seen before, I just want to have a shot at this!
