I was 18… I’m 22 and still finding them! It doesn’t really bother me… I call them my albino hairs ๐Ÿ™‚

I was 21 when I first noticed my first gray! I just attributed it to being 21 and getting through my B.A. degree so I was ok with it  : ) I’m 30 now and have about 10+. I just rock my greys!

Just pull it out or dye your hair and get over it!!

I was around 19, 20 years old. I’m 29 now, and have scattered greys on the sides of my head near my ears and on the top of my head. I knew it would happen early, because my dad’s side greys early. My aunt started around that time as well. I get my roots touched up every 2 months for now. Not looking forward to the day it goes to every 3 weeks.

Just look at it as genetics and that it doesn’t have anything to do with age.

As you can see many gals were much younger than you when this happened… I personally was 27…

I remember the trama… but to be sure it happens to ALL of us eventually

Today, I chuckle… because at 54 years odl, chances are slim / it is a good day when I find a non-gray one !!

@MrsFuzzyFace:  Please. 30% of my hair is grey, and I’m 30. I had my first streak at 19. You are lucky.

The first one I noticed a friend pulled out, this was a good 8-10 years ago.  “OUCH! That was attached”.  “it was grey!”.  “So!  I earned it, AND it was still attached.”.  Yeah, not so worried about it myself.

Haha I had a freak out moment when I found my first one while in the horrible bathroom lighting during a break in class…I was 29. At first I thought it was just a highlight (I have light red hair with blonde and caramel highlights/lowlights), but when I realized that it was too “blonde” all the way to the root unlike my highlights, I kinda freaked a little lol. No crying, but I was definitely stuck looking at the mirror almost constantly for a few weeks ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m fine with it now…as another poster said…I’ve earned all my greys ๐Ÿ™‚

Yeah, this is no big deal. Getting older is FAR better than the alternative. (ie dying young!).

I am 34 and have got my first couple in the last year. A strange thing is that I have been getting grey in my brows for YEARS!

I’ve been getting them occasionally since I was 6. Chin up, buttercup.

My aunt started when she was 16 so by the time she was 18, her head was completely stark white even her eyebrows… so at 33 it’s not so bad…

I don’t think it’s terrible that you got worked up about it, but don’t worry!  Everybody has good and bad things about their body.  I think I’m a reasonably good-looking person (I hope I don’t sound like an ass) and I have soooo much white hair and I’m 27.  Like I have to color my hair once a month and it’s noticeable by the time I color it again.  But when people find out I color my hair I just laugh about it and say “I have tons of white hair” and smile.  I think it’s actually really common to get them in your 20’s.

I noticed my first gray hair when I was 15 or 16, I’m at like 20 or 30% grey now and I’m almost 21.

I was a bit upset when I found the first ones, but I mostly just think it’s humorous. Plus you can always dye your hair!
