I think that all depends on how fast your hair grows.  Mine grows like a weed…I starting growing out my pixie around Christmastime and it’s almost to my shoulders right now.  But I have a friend who skips haircuts for months and you can’t tell.

Oh honey, I feel for you!  My hair was in a long-ish pixie (picture kate gosselin – i know, don’t say it LOL) when I got engaged in July 2011, and it was a little more than chin-length, almost shoulders by my wedding in October 2012.  I think you’ll be fine!  Trust me though, you’re going to go through a phase where it does NOTHING because it doesn’t do short, and it’s not long enough to be long…so you’ll be tempted to chop it back off.  Be strong and don’t do it, you’ll get there haha!  And don’t get me wrong, i LOVED my pixie…but my daddy was all “oh i always pictured you with long hair for your wedding”, so i got suckered haha!  So if you love it, work it!  🙂

Its hard to say, everyones hair grows at different rates. The average is only half an inch a month or so. I know that I have taken a certain seaweed based tablet from a health foods store which encourages hair skin and nail growth. Ive had a pixie cut since november last year, and have recently started to grow it out, At first it feelslike it grows really quickly because you can really notice the difference in length. Imjust waiting to get to that awkward in between stage!

I cut my hair into a pixie in october, it’s to my chin right now, but I did have to have the back cut/shortend in January, as I was getting a mullet. Pixies don’t grow out evenly. When I got the back cut, it looked and has been growing like a cute angled bob.

Like other PPs stated…I also had a pixie cut and it took about a year for it to grow that long. But that is also because you want to cut it into a cute style while you are growing it out. The “growing out my pixie cut” hair mullet is not cute…
