Good lord bees, what a day I’ve had.
Not only did I have to bake 100 cupcakes for my friends engagement party tomorrow, I got into a fight with a lady at WALMART (of all places!).
I have a really low tolerance for people at Walmart. They are always rude, smelly, or loud. I hate going there. But my mom asked me to go with her after I was done baking, so I did. We were walking down an isle and I was already pissed off because some old pervert was staring at me and it was creeping me out. So we get to this lady who had her cart literally in the middle of the isle while she was looking at things. My mom squeezed by & I looked at the lady, who, instead of moving the cart, smiled at me with this bitchy look on her face like she knew she was in our way but didn’t care. I said “Excuse you!” without even thinking. I kept walking and I hear her yell “Say it to my face next time!” So, I turned around and yelled “Maybe you should get your cart out of the middle of the isle so people can walk by!”
Honestly, it wasn’t a big deal. She was in everyone’s way and didn’t have the courtesy to move her cart.
So 2 minutes later, while my mom and I are in the crafts section, I see this lady storming towards us! She started yelling “You are too mouthy and you’re going to get decked!” I couldn’t believe it, and I think I was just shocked so I started laughing and told her to go ahead and deck me. She said “NO, not me, but someone else will! You should be glad I am handling this so well because other people wouldn’t!” This was so obsurd I couldn’t do anything but look at her! I even said I was sorry for saying “Excuse you” to her in the first place. I mean, who goes after someone when YOU were the one in the wrong? Come on now.
In hindsight, I shouldn’t have said “Excuse you!” to her, but she had no reason to go off the handle the way she did. Especially because she was the one blocking the aisle!
Sorry, I just needed to vent and tell someone the story of this crazy lady.

It seemed a little trashy on both your parts honestly. People are annoying but thats just life…

Eh. At least it was Walmart and not somewhere that actually has behavior standards. 🙂
ETA: I was at my local Meijer earlier today and wanted to say something to these two women who had taken up a whole aisle with both their carts, saw me coming, and just kept yakking about who had coupons for what, totally unmoving, until I had been standing there for a good 20 seconds after saying, “Excuse me”. Some people just lack manners.

Don’t you know better than to poke the animals? lol.

@LLRininger: Thanks for calling me trashy! Lol.
@fallsgirl: Haha, that’s what I said 🙂 Thank god it was at Walmart!

Personally I would have just walked down another aisle. What if she really did deck you…oh jeez!
Hope your day gets better.

Dear Lord, if I didn’t know better I would say that you just met my Mother-In-Law…. I am sorry you had this experience.

Haha sometimes you just reach your limit on tolerating rude/stupid people! I once saw two middle-aged men get into a physical altercation at Costco because one took the last sample of clam chowder. So, it could have been a lot trashier 😛

LOL sorry but this made me laugh! Some people are just CRAZY. And I probably would have said something bitchy to her after her “i’m handling this so well” speech. Like, “um no you’re not lady. You’re the crazy person stalking me down in the store because you got your feelings hurt”. You get the point, but yeah. Walmart = crazy.
I went in ours yesterday to buy a movie and couldn’t get to the rack I wanted to see because some stupid girl was chatting up this guy (you could tell they were strangers & he gave me the most scared face ever like saying heeeeelp me). I almost had a moment like yours because I just helped her out and MOVED her cart for her. Haha.

Ugh sorry you had to deal with that. I had a lady slam into my basket with her cart, super hard, and she didn’t even say “excuse me” or “sorry”. This is Canada. We apologize for everything. So I snapped and said something to her about “the phrase is EXCUSE ME??” and something about looking where she’s going. She freaked the fuck out on me.
Bitch, you ran into me?
Another time this lady punched my moms car in the wal mart parking lot. She was walking in the midde of the road that leads to the store, nowhere near the crosswalk. My mom slowed down to let her cross.. then she goes behind the car and pounds on the trunk. I had seriously had e-n-o-u-g-h of wal mart shoppers. So I get out, and I’m like, what *exactly* is your problem? She went full ricki-lake head bob in my face. She got a too close waving that finger in my face. I pushed her full force and knocked her down. Like.. hard. It’s the only physical altercation I’ve ever had. She took off. Just random.

Hahaha this is pretty hilarious. First I was thinking you both belong on Jerry Springer, but I realized that I have totally said bitchy comments way too loud, and I wouldn’t be surprised if something like this happened to me one day. I am glad you did not get decked 😀

LOL I would have done the same thing.

@BakerBee16: DH has done this before as well (we also abhor Walmart). This lady was blocking the entire aisle with her motorized buggy- but she wasn’t sitting in the buggy, oh no, she was standing ON THE SEAT reaching up to get her wine. Then she jumped off the seat, set the bottle in her basket, and walked around a bit (still allowing her cart to block the entire aisle) before deciding to sit back down. DH’s mother is legitimately disabled and still doesn’t use the motorized buggy, so Darling Husband gets really angry when people that obviously don’t need it use it, leaving people that DO need it stranded. He looked at her and said, “Wow, looks like we have a miracle on our hands” under his breath, but she still heard him. She turned to him and said, “Excuuuuuuse me?” He looked at me (as if debating whether or not to say anything else, as he knows how I hate confrontation), then said, “Seeing as you can walk, jump, and stand perfectly fine, I don’t think you need a motorized cart. Someone else might and they won’t have one to use.” We walked off, and saw her a couple aisles over doing the same thing. People. :/
