I’m 25 and starting the exact same process right now! Have just been wearing separators in preparation for the palate expander to go on next week. I’m really hoping I don’t need surgery – did you? If it worked for you without surgery then that gives me hope! My teeth are TERRIBLE, but my parents couldn’t afford braces for me, so it’s only now that I’m with my fiance that I/we can afford them. I cannot wait to get these braces on because it will change my life; no more hiding my smile! And I’m so lucky my fiance is so generous and willing to help pay for treatment. Wedding budgeting is going to be interesting haha

They’re literally loosening and moving your teeth – roots and all…of course it will be painful and uncomfortable. I had braces for 5.5 years (FML) and the day after they were on/ever tightened I wanted to jump off a cliff. After that, it goes away.
I got mine on the day I was going to a concert. I obviously did not enjoy that concert.
