I actually don’t think it looks silly at all. Do I think they make look a tad nicer with ribbon? Yes, but not enough of a difference to change it!

@Tiffner:  I LOVE it with the the striped twine and the heart!!!! It doesn’t downplay the formalness – word? lol- at all!  I love it.

I just got my sample invite in as was looking for a way to add that “missing touch” and I’m going to do exactly what you did!  I love it.  Ours are red, black & white — mostly black and white with red as the accent, so I’ll be adding the red ribbon, or twine if I can find it.  Where did you get the red heart?  I want to try to find an airplane.

again — Love it!

I wanted to ask you both — what type of pen did you both use to address your envelopes?  My envelopes I am ordering are black, so I needed a way to address them with white.  Is it a gel pen?  Or a sharpie?

Man you both have amazing handwriting, haha.

Adorable and love the twine!! I did a pocket fold and tied it closed with twine. No idea why it’s sideways

@Tiffner:  1st – oh gosh, I saw that I wrote “red” hearts, haha – oops.

I went back and saw the silver doves – I can see them now, I missed them the first time around.  I like them!

Thank you for the heads up on the pen!  I will get the fine point sharpie instead.  Your envelopes look very nice and elegant.  Hopefully I’ll have mine come out nice as well! (I’ll start practicing!)

I have seen the corner paper punches at Michaels, but I had never seen whole shapes!  I have the Michaels app on my phone, so I always have a coupon!  I’m so going to go get some!

Thank you for posting!  I had never thought of tying my invite together with a lil tag as a finishing touch – I just knew it was “missing something”

I hope you keep the twine instead of doing ribbon, it really looks great!  And thanks for the whisker graphics info! 🙂
