In my humble opinion the comment wasn’t that bad, it was someone elses opinion. I think you got a little defensive 🙂

I’m not sure I’d be *that* upset about the comment. If you don’t want contrary opinions on your blog, there should be a disable comments option?

Agreed with previous posters, the comment doesn’t seem that bad. Maybe you should disable comments.

You can also disable anonymous comments which cuts down a lot on spam and nonsense.

I don’t think it’s a troll. Doesn’t seem bad at all and reasonably worded. I think however you took it personally 🙁 Which I totally understand too.

Sorry but… wow. So not a troll. Just someone offering their opinion in a reasonable manner. I definitely agree that your response was a bit overkill.

@smileyd: I didn’t say delete it, I said disable future comments if you don’t want people leaving contrary opinions on your blog. If you just want to write about your wedding, write about your wedding, as opinions that differ from your vision seem to upset you.

People often leave anonymous comments if they don’t want to bother registering with the website.

@KatyElle: Right. The anonymity was just for convenience’s sake. It’s very commonplace in the blog world, wouldn’t you say? Nothing to take offense over.

@smileyd: You are being a bit defensive, not everyone is going to agree with what you want and I can definitley see your fiance’s point. That being said, it’s your wedding and you’re free to do it your way. If you want pink dresses I say Hey! Get some pink dresses! A better reply to the comment would have been “I see your point, but I LOVE pink. Thanks for the comment!” All traffic to your blog is good traffic (unless they’re insulting you!)

And  like others have said, the anonymous post is normal. Some people don’t want to register. Sometimes I post on weddingbee anonymously (the blog potion of the site) because I’m too lazy to sign into my account (that’s pretty lazy).
