I used to work in a florist for 8 years and paying ~$50/centerpiece was pretty much the norm/average for our shop for a low centerpiece.  If you wanted an elevated centerpiece then you were looking at ~$75+/piece.  And to give you an idea of the area the shop was located in a higher priced town about 45 minutes outside of Baltimore, MD. So I think for you it is definitely not crazy expensive, and actually reasonable, espeically since you are in a major city.

I think that if you are comfortable with the price and what they are offering you/their design style/experience, then you should definitely go with them.  You may be able to find someone less expensive but you also may not be as comfortable with them either.  So really, sometimes it isn’t solely about money, but also how much you trust your vendor that you need to consider.

I think that is a decent price. Out of curiousity ( I have the same colors) and am going for a rustic feel.. Can you post your inspired photo?

seems good to me…. usually around me most range from $50 – 100 so that is at the low end (and sounds right for what you want + what you will provide)

I think that its a great price to avoid having to deal with it yourself that morning too!

I think it’s the norm but I also know that you can also negotiateeverything as far as weddings go. My Fiance has done that with everything saving us on average $100 per vendor. With having to give tips out that makes a differnace. I have a hard time doing thing like that but he’s a pro.
