Your wedding is in a college town?? That’s good news!
Head to campus and post flyers on the bulletin boards for helpers if your parents have nixed Craigslist. (But Craigslist is seriously a good thing for this.)
Check Yelp for a cheap hairstylist recommendation. Honestly, I get my hair done at JC Penney very cheaply and it has always come out great. Or, post on Facebook/Twitter and offer to pay any cosmetologist friend (or friend of a friend) $X amount to style your hair. I got my wedding hair done at a beauty school and it turned out really well done! maybe there’s one in a nearby city?
For flowers – you can order from Sam’s club online. I DIYed my bouquets and they turned out great, and I am not good with flowers nor did I practice. Because honestly, no one besides you will care if it’s perfect. I know it’s hard to let go of that vision of perfection, but it sounds like your guests love you and will not even notice. Just use a lot of floral tape and then cover it up with ribbons. Sam’s might sell ready-made bouquets too, I’m less sure – we were trying to save money. We got soooooo many flowers and they lasted forever and were just beautiful. Have them delivered a day or two in advance. They will still be gorgeous if you keep them in water.
You can do this! And if nothing else, at least you’re marrying the person you love!

shutto: I agree, don’t freak out I know it’s hard, but…
is there a way U can show one of UR bridesmaids or another family member the style U want?
I’m decent at doing hair (im no professional) but I’m PRETTY SURE even I could do UR hair in that style. It’s as simple as teasing the top a bit, curling iron, and some pinning and tucking of UR hair back into the half up style. Honestly I’ve done a style similar on myself and I bet someone who is even halfway decent can pull it off…. Worth a shot….

panda1016: Thats actually a good idea. I’m going to try that to get some help!
My sister is supposedly handling the hair situation. I’ll give her a day or two then take into my own hands (perhaps literally.) I’ll see if me and a bridesmaid could practice a few times and figure it out

OK – I can’t arrange a freaking dandylion in a dixie cup and I’m not kidding. BUT, when DD#1 was getting married I went to Sams and bought 2 dozen roses. I pulled up the instructions on how to do a bouquet with a ribbon wrap. Now I am sure you could find it on youtube. I swear on my soul this is way easier than you think. You would want to buy roses on Wednesday, put them in a bucket of water til friday, cut them to length and follow the directions. I am seriously the MOST non crafty person you could ever meet and I made hers.
Hint – 2 dozen roses is freakishly heavy, especially when the Maid/Matron of Honor has to hold them along with her bouquet. Do you have a Sam’s close by where you could buy the flowers and do a practice run?

I’m looking at fifty flowers! 🙂 I am DIY the centerpieces since it’s literally sticking flowers in a jar. If the other kroger falls through, I believe fiftyflowers or sam’s will be what I do! Thank you bees!

Flowers have been resolved (ended up spending double, but it’s done). Hair is still not resolved. Workers/helpers is just being done without and friends are helping.
But now a friggen stone fell out of my engagement ring!?!?!?
This is getting ridiculous. I’m going first thing to tomorrow to see about getting it replaced. But I am broke at this point. So if it’s much more than 30 bucks, I’m going to have to file a claim through jewelers mutual and hope this gets fixed in time.
And I live in the part of Louisiana that just recieved the flooding of biblical porportions, so businesses here are running at super slow speed.
I just want these two weeks over with…
