@Ninteenthchance:  Sorry about the dog! Please realise animals do things we cannot predict and it is not your fault. I’ll be thinking of you! My mom has a collie cross that does the same, and even with intensive retraining and MEDICAL INTERVENTION (ie doggy xanax) we cannot calm him around cars. No one is to blame for this.

I’m sorry about the dog. <3 At least she had a good, long life (12 years is awesome!!) with your parents. <3 We had a dog that used to run down the driveway and start running up the side of the road whenever someone would leave. One day she didn’t run up the side of the road, she ran INTO the road..in front of a car.

It wasn’t anyone’s fault, it’s just what the dog always did. ๐Ÿ™ I can empathize.

*hugs*

I’m sorry, that’s awful!  Frown

This happened to me once…one of my ex boyfriends family dogs.  They had 3 or 4, they all lived outside (outside of town property) and would always run around and under cars.  I was freaked out and didn’t want to drive, he told me just to keep going, that it would get out of the way.  Well it DIDN’T get out of the way!  So I ran it over Frown  I think it had some broken ribs but it managed to survive.
