I don’t know because that sounds just like my diet in my first 2 trimesters (I was sick until 20 weeks).  All that helped was carbs and sweet for me too!

Yeah, I mean- at some points you just have to do what you can to survive!

For the last week or so all I could eat was fruit or sugary things. I felt so terrible but it was all I could handle. My tastes are slowly letting me eat “normally” so I take it when I can get it.

@ExcitedScaredBee: It gets better, I promise. Now I am 22 weeks and back eating healthy and normally. I am guessing you are in your first trimester? Right now its just about survival. Mke sure you stay hydrated and keep down what you can. It will pass and you’ll forget it was ever that bad Innocent

I had stone ground crackers with peanut butter, smoked almonds and dried cranberries for dinner last night. It seemed to help!

It’s still carbs, but I munched on saltines when I had nausea.

I’m 27 weeks and still eating sugar and carbs pretty much nonstop.

@ExcitedScaredBee:  Don’t be hard on yourself. Trust me- it will get better. I was horrified at how I was eating for a while there and now I am just back to normal ๐Ÿ™‚ Its really once you get into the second tri that you really need protien/calcium etc… Just ride out this ikky stage ๐Ÿ™‚

I have type II Diabetes (pre pregnancy) and my docs have told me to focus on what I can keep down and I’ll I’ve been able to eat mostly is carbs and fruit. 2 things that should be sides in my diet not the main course… I’d say talk to your doc if you’re really concerned. Or look at eating whole wheat options for your carbs so you’re not getting so much sugar.

@ExcitedScaredBee:  I was the same way. God bless Jolly Ranchers! ๐Ÿ™‚ You just have to eat whatever sounds not totally nasty to you… which in my case was basically sugar-filled crap.

@ExcitedScaredBee:  YOU AND ME BOTH, GIRL. I swear I’m living off of Honey Nut Shredded wheats, Carnation Instant Breakfast, fruit snacks, those super cheap (and sugary) freezer pops and jelly beans. It’s ridiculous. I was eating SO healthy before and now I can barely stomach anything, but that. It’s so frustrating.
