@AprilJo2011: What??? Baby items? Fiance and I come from very conservative families (and are quite prudish ourselves to be completely honest) so I know that would not go over well if a family member found our registry with baby stuff on it!
@MrsElopement: Mine registered for a $600 sound system. He classified it as an “essential.”
@KristenGotMarried: Smart move!
And for everyone else I hate that it’s giving you problems too, but I’m kind of glad that I’m not the only one. 🙂

Okay I am going to have to agree with this one. I kinda gave up and deleted everything other then camping equipment. I made a crate&barrel registry instead for the other things…

@AprilJo2011: If it ever tries to tell you somebody doesn’t exist try putting in the state as “unknown.”

I’ve started working on ours just because. I know a lot of times it doesn’t show items that I have on there, and others it will, sometimes as many as three times!. I’m nervous it will do the same thing to our guests.
It seems like this is an issue for many, many people, and you would think they would work out the kinks to get more people shopping there.

I have heard a lot of bad things about Target registry, mostly revolving around how hard it is to return things, even with gift receipets. We only registered for like, three things at Target, not because we wanted anyone to buy them for us, but because we wanted the discount. LOL!

@Mrs. Bear Cheese Pie: I think most of the problem has been the new website. When they rolled that out a lot of people had problems with their registries being deleted or all messed up too. I wasn’t able to access mine right away. It kept telling me that my password was incorrect and then wouldn’t let me change/look it up.

@victorian-lilac: Yes, see here:
There was also a post from a bride who was angry at her Maid/Matron of Honor because she thought the Maid/Matron of Honor had added baby items to the registry behind her back to sabotage her wedding, and the bride thought about asking her to step down as a MOH! Then a lot of other bees replied with “No, don’t! It wasn’t your Maid/Matron of Honor. Target did this to me, too!” Can’t find that post right now…
@FloretteLiz: Thanks! I’ll try that next time! 🙂

@victorian-lilac: We were really excited about registering at Target even though we had been warned by friends that their registry sucks. Half the items we registered for ended up being in-store only and had no picture/description just as you said (Wall art 5×8…um, thanks that gives me a lot to go on). We ended up moving everything to our existent Macy’s registry and opening a Bed, Bath, and Beyond registry (which we just did online). We were able to find almost everything or at least similar items. I just could not stand how terrible and unorganized it was anymore!

We had a few issues with their registry as well. On big one that I am glad that we noticed right a way, was when we zapped a table runner with the gun, the item came up on the gun as pampers diapers. Would have given our guests THE WAAAYYY WRONG IDEA. I am glad that we looked down at the gun right away and noticed it so that we were able to delete it.
It was very strange. We zapped it a second time and it did the same thing an the third time it finally came up as a table runner. We had another item do this, it came up as something else as well.

I also registered at Target, and it went very smoothly. My Maid/Matron of Honor went with me, and we had a BLAST!
I WAS, however, kind of annoyed when I checked it out later online and noticed the same things… some things were in store only…OR something things I had scanned showed up as ONLINE only. FIgure that one out! AND, then a few things I added online are ONLY available online and OUT OF STOCK.
I don’t know what to do! We wanted to register at Target to be cost-effective for our guests, but now I’m just not so sure!

I am having serious Target registry problems and unfortunately it’s too late for me just to delete it. I registered there for my bridal shower, which is in two weeks. My guests have told me what gifts they have purchased. All have told me they had the list scanned when buying the items, but none of the purchases are showing. I know I’m going to end up with duplicate gifts. What a pain!

I registered at Target, which was great, it was easy to do in store, plus the $20 giftcard to shutterfly was great, I got a cheap photo guestbook that way so it was worth it. Luckily the biggest issues have been that the website takes soo long to load, my computer can’t even load it so I have to use Fi’s. I too had the problem with things showing up without description or picture, but there were plenty of gifts to choose from, so people just chose other items, though I only know of 2 people who got anything from the target registry so it wasn’t a huge deal for us.
