- Wedding: March 2012
I have tried very hard to avoid being labeled a bridezilla, being laid back about decisions that vendors have made that maybe I wouldn’t have gone in the direction of, but I’m paying them for their expertise, right? This is HUGE for me because I am admittedly a big control freak and delegating is difficult for me. But I’ve managed for the last year and thus far, few complaints.
Now of all people, our calligrapher is driving me up the wall. I had made a pretty specific request for an element of our invitation, and she gave me 9 digitally adjusted fonts (fonts I own, I should add), with only two handwritten.
I had hired her for her handwriting. I make logos for a living. If I wanted to do what she showed, I would’ve never hired her!
Then, she misspelled our names. She remedied it quickly, but if she’s capable of screwing up our names, I can’t imagine what might happen with the envelopes that we also hired her for. I don’t want to comb through every single one three times in a row.
In the grand scale of this planning process, this is supposed to be a minor blip. But she is now delaying my invitations and made me have a little anxiety attack this morning. I am considering just cutting my losses and finding someone else. I have no time at all, but I can find someone local to work on the envelopes for me if need be.
What do you bees suggest? ::facepalm::
